BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 30 July 2016 – Major Pg Hj Rudy Halyamin bin Pg Hj Chuchu received the Outstanding Officer Candidate School Special Field Award from the Armed Forces of the Philippines for his contributions as one of the bridges in the military-to-military relations between the RBAF and the AFP.
Major Pg Hj Rudy Halyamin graduated from the AFP Officer Candidate School in 1994. His ability to speak fluent Tagalog has proved useful not only for himself personally but also for the RBAF. This was evident during his subsequent tours in the Philippines.
He was a member of the Brunei Darussalam International Monitoring Team (IMT) in 2004 – 2005. He was later involved in the delivery of Brunei Darussalam’s contributions for the people of the Republic of Philippines after the country was hit by Typhoon Haiyan in 2013.
