BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Friday 24 June 2016 – In the midst of the holy month of Ramadhan, the women military personnel of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) have conducted an annual recital of Tahlil and cleaning campaign at various cemeteries. The event commenced with the recitation of Surah Yassin and continued with cleaning campaign of the cemetery.
The event was held concurrently at different locations based on respective units. Female officers and enlisted personnel of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) were involved at Kubah Makam Diraja and Kg Ranggas Besar cemetery.
Female officers and enlisted personnel of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) were involved at the Islam Sri Pimping Islamic cemetery. Royal Brunei AirForce (RBAirF) were involved at the Kg Pulaie and Jame’ Asr Hassanil Bolkiah cemetery.
Meanwhile, Female officers and enlisted personnel of Training Institute and MINDEF were involved at the Jerudong Islamic cemetery, Bukit Sadur Kg Tanjong Nangka Islamic cemetery, Kianggeh and Kg Putat Islamic cemetery.
More than a 100 RBAF women personnel from different units attended the annual Tahlil ceremony and cleaning campaign at respective locations led by the female officers.
Such activity aimed to reminisce members of the RBAF personnel whom had passed away and at the same time to strengthen ties between the officers and other ranks. It also enhances the individuals’ good deeds towards Allah SWT during the holy month of Ramadan.
