RIMBA, Friday, 24 June 2016 – In the presence of a modest gathering at the Air Movement Center of the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF), the Royal Brunei Air Force celebrated its 50th anniversary and golden jubilee with the launching ceremony of the Royal Brunei Air Force 50th anniversary Sculpture and new time capsule; marking a notable event in the history of Royal Brunei Air Force.
The Guest of Honour, RBAirF Commander, Brigadier General (U) Shahril Anwar bin Haji Ma’awiah officiated the launching ceremony with a ribbon-cutting. The ceremony was attended by senior officers, officers and invited guests of the Royal Brunei Air Force.
The RBAirF 50th anniversary Sculpture took 2 months to complete and was fully built in-house by the RBAirF Technical Equipment Maintenance Division (TEMD) staffs and attachment students of Universiti Teknologi Brunei, by utilising scrap materials available. The event also included the planting of four new time capsules which will be preserved and open in the next 25 years for the future Air Force generation on the 24th June 2041.
The Chairman of the event, Squadron Commander of the Flying Training School, No. 7 Wing, Major (U) Pg Mohd Zulhusmi bin Pg Md Roslan stated that he was very proud of what the team had achieved and that the launching of the sculpture will not only signify the celebration of this historic 50th anniversary but also highlights the relations they have as an Airforce organisation between both military and civilian.
The ceremony began with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by a brief presentation and the delivery of certificate of appreciation to the TEMD staff and Universiti Teknologi Brunei students. The event concluded with a group photo session and a Doa Selamat.
PELANCARAN ARCA DAN PENANAMAN KAPSUL MASA SEMPENA ULANG TAHUN TUDB KE 50
RIMBA, Jumaat Jun 24, 2016 – Dalam majlis yang sederhana yang telah berlangsung di Pusat Gerakan Udara (AMC) Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB), Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei telah menyambut Hari Ulang Tahun ke-50 dan Jubli Emas dengan pelancaran arca Ulang Tahun TUDB ke-50 dan kapsul masa baru, yangmana mencatat satu lagi sejarah penting bagi TUDB.
Tetamu Kehormat majlis iaitu Pemerintah TUDB, Brigedier Jeneral (U) Shahril Anwar bin Haji Ma’awiah telah merasmikan majlis pelancaran tersebut dengan acara memotong reben. Majlis pelancaran telah dihadiri oleh pegawai-pegawai kanan, pegawai dan tetamu jemputan Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei.
Arca ulang tahun TUDB ke-50 itu mengambil masa selama 2 bulan untuk disiapkan dan dibina sepenuhnya oleh kakitangan Bahagian Kelengkapan Teknikal dan Pemeliharaan (TEMD) dan para pelajar Universiti Teknologi Brunei, dengan menggunakan bahan-bahan bekas yang sedia ada. Acara ini juga termasuk penanaman empat biji kapsul masa baru yang akan dipelihara dan dibuka pada 25 tahun akan datang untuk generasi TUDB masa depan pada 24 Jun 2041.
Pengerusi majlis Komander Skuadron Sekolah Latihan Penerbangan, No. 7 Wing, Mejar (U) Pg Mohd Zulhusmi bin Pg Mohd Roslan menyatakan bahawa beliau amat berbangga dengan apa yang dicapai oleh pasukan itu kerana pelancaran arca itu bukan sahaja menandakan sambutan ulang tahun ke-50 yang bersejarah tetapi juga menekankan hubungan organisasi TUDB di antara warga tentera dan awam.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah diikuti dengan penyampaian taklimt ringkas dan penyampaian sijil penghargaan kepada kakitangan TEMD dan para pelajar Universiti Teknologi Brunei. Acara diakhiri dengan sesi bergambar dan Doa Selamat.
