BOLKIAH GARRISON, Thursday 26 May 2016 – First Admiral (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit, Deputy Minister of Defence, received a courtesy call from Her Excellency Pg Hajah Faezah binti Pg Haji Abdul Rahman, Permanent Representative of Brunei Darussalam to ASEAN in Jakarta, Indonesia.
During the call, Deputy Minister and Her Excellency expressed pleasure at Brunei Darussalam’s active participation in ASEAN, especially in defence and security engagements under the ADMM and ADMM-Plus framework. Both sides took note of Brunei Darussalam’s initiatives of establishing the ADMM Direct Communications Link, ADMM Logistics Support Framework and the ASEAN Defence Interaction Programme, and look forward to its continued progress to foster mutual understanding, greater cooperation and stronger friendship among the ASEAN Member States and regional partners.
Deputy Minister also congratulated Her Excellency on her new appointment. Her Excellency will present her credentials to the ASEAN Secretary General and begin her new appointment in June 2016.
