MUARA, Tuesday 3 May 2016 – The ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting-Plus Maritime Security and Counter Terrorism Exercise (ADMM Plus MS & CT) was officially launched today with an opening ceremony held at the Multi National Coordination Centre (MNCC) in Muara.
The Exercise launching ceremony commenced with a welcoming remark by the Exercise Co-Director, Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat , Joint Force Commander RBAF.
The ceremony was followed by a speech by the Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah. Following this, the RBAF Commander officiated the ADMM Plus MS & CT Exercise and activated the Exercise Task Groups. Present to witness the officiating ceremony were the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Services Commanders, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, Senior Officials and personnel from the ADMM-Plus countries involved in the Exercise. The RBAF Commander was later taken for a tour of the Exercise Control Centre in MNCC.
The ADMM-Plus MS & CT this year is co-hosted by the RBAF and Singapore Armed Forces after the success of the ADMM-Plus Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief and Military Medicine (ADMM Plus HADR & MM) Exercise in 2013. This is a multilateral exercise that aims to enhance military cooperation and increase interoperability between participating countries in responding to maritime threats.
PEMERINTAH ABDB RASMIKAN PELANCARAN EKSESAIS KESELAMATAN MARITIM DAN ANTI KEGANASAN
MUARA, Selasa 3 Mei 2016 – Eksesais Keselamatan Maritim dan Anti Keganasan Mesyuarat Menteri-Menteri Pertahanan ASEAN-Plus (Eks. ADMM-Plus MS & CT ) telah dilancarkan hari ini di Pusat Kordinasi Berbilang Negara (MNCC).
Majlis pelancaran eksesais ini telah dimulakan dengan ucapan alu-aluan yang disampaikan oleh Pengarah Eksesais Bersama, Brigadier Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersama ABDB.
Majlis seterusnya diikuti dengan ucapan daripada Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB), Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Mejar Jeneral Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah. Selanjutnya, YDM Pemerintah ABDB telah merasmikan eksesais ADMM-Plus MS & CT dan mengaktifkan Kumpulan-Kumpulan Kerja Eksesais.
Turut hadir menyaksikan majlis perasmian ini ialah Setiausaha Tetap Kementerian Pertahanan, Pemerintah-Pemerintah Unit Tentera, Timbalan-Timbalan Setiausaha Tetap, Pegawai-Pegawai Kanan dan anggota daripada semua Negara-negara ADMM-Plus yang terlibat di dalam eksesais ini. Pemerintah ABDB kemudiannya dibawa melawat ke Pusat Kawalan Eksesais di Pusat MNCC.
Eksesais ADMM-Plus MS & CT tahun ini dikelolakan bersama oleh ABDB dan Angkatan Bersenjata Republik Singapura selepas kejayaan ADMM-Plus Eksesais Bantuan Kemanusiaan dan Bencana dan Perubatan Tentera (ADMM Plus HADR & MM) pada tahun 2013. Ia merupakan latihan berbilang hala yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kerjasama ketenteraan dan meningkatkan ‘interoperability’ di antara negara-negara yang mengambil bahagian dalam menangani ancaman maritim.
