BELAIT, Thursday 7 April 2016 – The Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, arrived at Bukit Teraja this morning to witness the highlight of Exercise Hikmat Bersatu V/2016. For the past few days, several scenarios had culminated towards the final attack.
In the scenario, following confirmation on the enemy hasty defence position from the RBAF Operations and Intelligence feeds, RBAF conducted Strike operation, which led to the enemy’s defeat. The battalion attack at Bukit Teraja effectively marks the end of Exercise Hikmat Bersatu V/2016. A thanksgiving ceremony for the end of the exercise will be held on 8 April 2016.
Since its inception in 2003, the Exercise Hikmat Bersatu held this year is the fifth series of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Exercise, which are focusing on contemporary security threats including the non-traditional security threats. The scenario of the Exercise Hikmat Bersatu V/2016 was a continuation from the Exercise Perisai Kebangsaan 4/2015 (EPK 4/2015) conducted in October 2015.
PEMERINTAH ABDB SAKSIKAN SERANGAN AKHIR HIKMAT BERSATU V
BELAIT, Khamis 7 Apirl 2016 – Pemerintah ABDB, Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Mejar Jeneral Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah tiba di Bukit Teraja awal pagi tadi bagi menyaksikan serangan akhir bagi Eksesais Hikmat Bersatu V/2016.
Di dalam senario ini, berikutan dengan pengesahan kedudukan pertahanan musuh melalui gerakan-gerakan dan maklumat perisikan, Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei telah melaksanakan serangan ke atas kubu pertahanan musuh dan akhirnya berjaya menumpaskan kumpulan tersebut. Serangan di Bukit Teraja ini menandakan berakhirnya Eksesais Hikmat Bersatu V/2016. Majlis Doa Kesyukuran bagi berakhirnya eksesais ini akan diadakan pada 8 April 2016.
Eksesais Hikmat Bersatu pada tahun ini merupakan kali ke-lima sejak ianya mula dilaksanakan pada tahun 2003. Senario Eksesais Hikmat Bersatu V/2016 adalah kesinambungan dari Eksesais Perisai Kebangsaan 4/2015 (EPK 4/2015) dan tertumpu kepada ancaman bukan traditional (non-traditional security threats)
