GOA, INDIA, Monday 28 March 2016 – An official delegation from the Ministry of Defence Brunei Darussalam, led by First Admiral (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit, Deputy Minister of Defence attended DEFEXPO 2016 held in Goa, Republic of India at the invitation of His Excellency Manohar Parrikar, Minister of Defence of the Republic of India.
During the inaugural ceremony of DEFEXPO 2016, the Deputy Minister of Defence met with His Excellency Manohar Parrikar, Minister of Defence of India. The Brunei delegation, which also included Captain (Rtd) Haji Mohd Amirul Shahnoel bin Haji Mohd Noeh, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Technology), visited the various exhibitors showcasing the latest advancements in defence technologies.
The DEFEXPO 2016 was inaugurated by the Minister of Defence of India, and was the ninth in the series of biennial Land, Naval and Internal Homeland Security Systems organised by the Ministry of Defence of India.
Brunei Darussalam and India signed an MOU on Defence Cooperation in Ferbuary this year. The visit by the Deputy Minister of Defence further enhances defence relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of India.
