MUARA, Monday 25 January 2016 – The Chief of Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN), Admiral Dato’ Seri Panglima Ahmad Kamarulzaman bin Haji Ahmad Badaruddin was in Brunei Darussalam for his introductory visit from 24 to 26 January 2016.
The Admiral called on Deputy Minister of Defence Brunei Darussalam, First Admiral (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit and Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah at the Minister of Defence, Bolkiah Garisson on 25 January 2016.
On the same day, the Admiral also called on Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad. Prior to making the courtesy call to Commander RBN, Admiral Dato’ Seri Panglima Ahmad Kamarulzaman was accorded with a Guard of Honor presented by the personnel and RBN Band, led by Lieutenant Pg Mohd Faren bin Pg Mohd Noor.
Subsequently after the courtesy call, the Chief of RMN proceeded to RBN Headquarters briefing room where he was briefed on the RBN organization followed by discussions. The visit by Admiral Dato’ Seri Panglima Ahmad Kamarulzaman is a testimony of the esteemed relationship between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia. Taking opportunity of the visit, both navies discussed on bilateral activities such as Hornbill Exercise, courses, meetings, seminars, conferences and exchanges of visits as well as exploring ways to further enhance the bilateral relationship between both navies.
