KG TANAH JAMBU, Friday 22 January 2016 – Thirty-one newly appointed officer cadets have been selected for Intake 15 commissioning course. The ceremony was held at the new Tanah Jambu site at the Ceremonial Hall, Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF), Kampong Tanah Jambu.
The
guest of honour for the ceremony was Pehin Datu Perkma Jaya Major
General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, The Commander of RBAF.
Also present were Service Commanders,
Commandants, Directors, officers and staff of DA RBAF along with the
officer cadets family members.
In August 2015, these officers’ cadets went through Armed Forces Commission Board (AFCB) as they were assessed to have the potential to become military officers in RBAF. Assessments mainly consist of leadership, critical thinking and physical fitness.
The officer cadets will be the first intake to start their 12-months long commissioning course at the Tanah Jambu. The main focus would be to develop their leadership, character and intellect in order to prepare them for their first appointment as newly commission officers in their respective services.
