BOLKIAH GARRISON, Wednesday, 30 January 2019 – The Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies (SHHBIDSS) held a Wednesday Forum session titled “Developments And Trends In The Nation’s Internal And External Environments: Impacts On Defence” at the Lecture Hall, SHHBIDSS this afternoon.
In the forum, research officers from SHHBIDSS shared their findings and analysis on some of the major developments and trends in the nation’s internal and external environments since 2013. Invited as panel members to share their observations and comments on how those developments and trends are impacting defence roles, activities and operations were the Director of Defence Policy, Haji Adi Ihram bin Dato Paduka Haji Mahmud and Lt Col Schufin bin Haji Ibrahim from the Joint Force Headquarters. The Forum closed with a question and answer session.
Present at the forum were the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Defence, Captain (Retired) Dato Paduka Abd Rahman bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, RBN; Directors, as well as officers and personnel of the Ministry and the RBAF.

BOLKIAH GARISON, Rabu, 30 Januari 2019 – Institut Pengajian Pertahanan dan Strategik Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (IPPSSHHB) melaksanakan sesi Wednesday Forum bertajuk “Developments And Trends In The Nation’s Internal And External Environments: Impacts On Defence” di Dewan Kuliah, IPPSSHHB pada petang ini.
Pada forum tersebut, pegawai-pegawai penyelidik daripada IPPSSHHB mengongsikan dapatan dan analisa terhadap beberapa perkembangan dan tren utama di persekitaran dalaman dan luaran negara sejak 2013.
Ahli-ahli panel untuk mengongsikan pandangan dan tinjauan masing-masing mengenai bagaimana perkembangan dan tren yang dibangkitkan akan memberi kesan kepada peranan, aktiviti dan operasi pertahanan adalah Pengarah Dasar Pertahanan, Haji Adi Ihram bin Dato Paduka Haji Mahmud dan Lt Kol Schufin bin Haji Ibrahim daripada Markas Angkatan Bersama ABDB. Forum ditutup dengan sesi soal jawab.
Hadir di forum tersebut adalah Setiausaha Tetap Kementerian Pertahanan, Kepten (Bersara) Dato Paduka Abd Rahman bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, TLDB; Pengarah-Pengarah, serta pegawai-pegawai dan kakitangan Kementerian Pertahanan dan ABDB.
