BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Thursday, 24 January 2019 – Following the official visit to the Ministry of Defence of Brunei Darussalam and the Audience to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday, the Minister of Defence of Malaysia, The Honourable Tuan Haji Mohamad bin Sabu visited the historical and cultural sites in Brunei Darussalam.
During the morning’s portion of his visit programme, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Second Minister of Defence of Brunei Darussalam accompanied The Honourable Tuan Haji Mohamad bin Sabu for morning exercise – briskwalking – at the Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas in the capital city and also hosted breakfast at the taman.
The Honourable Tuan Haji Mohamad bin Sabu and members of his delegation also visited the Royal Regalia Museum in the morning where he was accompanied by the Second Minister of Defence, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, and senior officers from the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
In the afternoon, The Honourable Tuan Haji Mohamad bin Sabu visited Kampong Ayer and its Cultural and Tourism Gallery. The Malaysian Minister of Defence also had the opportunity to visit Kampong Peramu and Kampong Tamoi which are small neighbourhoods in the vicinity of Kampong Ayer.
During the visit to Kampong Tamoi, he was presented with local food delicacies and performances on traditional music.
The last stop the Malaysian Minister of Defence made was to the Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque where he performed the Fardhu Asar prayers before concluding his visit to Brunei Darussalam.








MENTERI PERTAHANAN MALAYSIA MELAWAT TEMPAT-TEMPAT BERSEJARAH DAN KEBUDAYAAN DI NEGARA BRUNEI DARUSSALAM
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Khamis, 24 Januari 2019 – Berikutan lawatan rasmi ke Kementerian Pertahanan Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Majlis Mengadap kepada Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam kelmarin, Menteri Pertahanan Malaysia, Yang Berhormat Tuan Haji Mohamad bin Sabu telah melawat ke tempat-tempat bersejarah dan kebudayaan menarik di Negara Brunei Darussalam.
Dalam program lawatan beliau pada pagi ini, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Mejar Jeneral (Bersara) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Menteri Pertahanan Kedua Negara Brunei Darussalam telah bersama-sama Yang Berhormat Tuan Haji Mohamad bin Sabu mengadakan senaman pagi – briskwalking – di Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas di ibu negara dan juga menganjurkan sarapan pagi di taman tersebut.
Yang Berhormat Tuan Haji Mohamad bin Sabu dan ahli-ahli delegasi turut melawat Muzium Alat Kebesaran Diraja Brunei pada waktu pagi di mana beliau diiringi oleh Menteri Pertahanan Kedua, Setiausaha Tetap Kementerian Kebudayaan, Belia dan Sukan, dan pegawai-pegawai kanan lain dari Kementerian Pertahanan dan Kementerian Kebudayaan, Belia dan Sukan.
Di sebelah petang, Yang Berhormat Tuan Haji Mohamad bin Sabu melawat Kampong Ayer dan Galeri Kebudayaan dan Pelancongan. Menteri Pertahanan Malaysia juga berpeluang melawat Kampong Peramu dan Kampong Tamoi yang merupakan kawasan kecil di sekitar Kampong Ayer. Semasa lawatan ke Kampong Tamoi, beliau menikmati kuih-muih tempatan dan musik tradisional.
Tempat terakhir Menteri Pertahanan Malaysia melawat adalah ke Masjid Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien di mana beliau sembahyang Fardhu Asar sebelum menamatkan lawatan beliau ke Negara Brunei Darussalam.
