REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, Thursday, 29 November 2018 – The 16th Royal Brunei Armed Forces – Singapore Armed Forces Junior Interaction Programme (RBAF-SAF JIP) was held in the Republic of Singapore from 28 November to 1 December 2018. The programme was participated by a delegation of 20 officers from the RBAF, led by Commander Mohd Azrin bin Haji Mahmud, RBN.
The opening ceremony of the RBAF-SAF JIP was officiated and hosted by Lieutenant Colonel Lai Sze Hai from the Joint Manpower Personnel Department SAF, as the representative of the Singapore Armed Forces. The programme aims to strengthen the rapport and build understanding between the RBAF-SAF junior officers through professional exchanges, cultural interactions and visits to SAF military training institutions.
During the programme, the delegation had the opportunity to visit places of interest such as the Gardens by the Bay, the PEACEKEEPER Simulation Centre, the Air Force Training Command (AFTC), the Air Force Museum, the Republic of Singapore Navy Training Command and the Damage Control Trainer. As a side activity, the delegates also participated in a dragon boat rowing session at Kallang, conducted by the Singapore Dragon Boat Association. The RBAF-SAF JIP ended on a successful note with a farewell dinner hosted by Lieutenant Colonel Lai Sze Hai.
RBAF – SAF JUNIOR INTERACTION PROGRAM (RBAF-SAF JIP) KE-16 DI SINGAPURA
REPUBLIK SINGAPURA, Khamis, 29 November 2018 – Royal Brunei Armed Forces – Singapore Armed Forces Junior Interaction Programme (RBAF-SAF JIP) yang ke-16 telah diadakan di Republik Singapura bermula dari 28 November hingga 1 Disember 2018. Program tersebut telah diwakili oleh 20 pegawai dari Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) yang diketuai oleh Kommander Mohd Azrin bin Haji Mahmud, TLDB.
Pembukaan program RBAF-SAF JIP dirasmikan pada resepsi acara makan malam oleh Leftenan Kolonel Lai Sze Hai dari Joint Manpower Personnel Department SAF, selaku wakil dari Angkatan Bersenjata Republik Singapura (ABRS). Program tersebut bertujuan untuk mengeratkan lagi hubungan persahabatan dan juga mengukuhkan pemahaman di antara pegawai-pegawai muda di antara ABDB dan ABRS melalui pertukaran profesional, interaksi kebudayaan dan lawatan ke institusi latihan ketenteraan di ABRS.
Peserta-peserta program berpeluang untuk melawat tempat-tempat menarik seperti Gardens by the Bay, PEACEKEEPER Simulation Centre, Air Force Training Command (AFTC), Air Force Museum, Republic Singapore Navy Training Command dan juga Damage Control Trainer. Peserta-peserta program juga diberi peluang mengayuh Dragon Boat di Kallang yang dikendalikan oleh Persatuan Dragon Boat Singapura. RBAF-SAF JIP diakhiri dengan jamuan makan malam perpisahan rasmi yang dihos oleh Leftenan Kolonel Lai Sze Hai.
