TUTONG, Friday, 16 November 2018 – A personnel from the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), 17059 Lans Corporal Shatila bin Gassireh recited the Islamic oath at Kampong Bukit Beruang, Tutong, today.
Present at the ceremony as the guest of honour was Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of thr Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF). Also present were Service Commanders, officers from the RBAF and the Islamic Da’wah Centre, as well as families.
The ceremony began with the recital of verses from the Al-Qur’an and the declaration of Syahadah (declaration of faith) from LCpl Shatila bin Gassireh, led by an officer from the Islamic Da’wah Centre.
Subsequently, the Dikir Marhaban and gift presentation were given by the Guest of Honour, invited guests and families.
Lans Corporal Shatila bin Gassireh is the 8th RBAF personnel to convert to Islam this year and the 118th since 2006.
ANGGOTA TDDB MEMELUK AGAMA ISLAM
TUTONG, Jumaat, 16 November 2018 – Seorang anggota Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB), 17059 Lans Koperal Shatila bin Gassireh telah memeluk agama Islam sebagai agama baru beliau. Majlis pengislaman tersebut diadakan di Kampong Bukit Beruang, Tutong, hari ini.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat pada majlis tersebut ialah Mejar Jeneral Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB). Turut hadir ialah Pemerintah-Pemerintah Angkatan Tentera, pegawai-pegawai ABDB dan Pusat Da’wah Islamiah, serta keluarga.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan ayat-ayat suci Al-Quran, diikuti dengan lafaz syahadah oleh Lans Koperal Shatila bin Gassireh, yang dipimpin oleh pegawai dari Pusat Da’wah Islamiah.
Majlis diserikan lagi dengan laungan dikir marhaban dan taburan bunga rampai serta penyampaian cenderahati daripada Tetamu Kehormat serta jemputan yang hadir kepada saudara baru.
Lans Koperal Shatila bin Gassireh merupakan anggota ABDB yang ke-8 yang memeluk Islam bagi tahun ini dan yang ke-118 sejak tahun 2006.
