TUTONG, Saturday, 28 July 2018 – An officer from the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Lieutenant Junior Grade (Lt JG) Mazrina bte Marzlan, RBN recited her Islamic oath at her sister-in-law’s residence at Kampong Kebia, Tutong, today.
Present at the ceremony as the Guest of Honour was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Minister of Defence II. Also present were Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Umarali bin Esong, Member of the Legislative Council, Awang Shamsul Bahrin bin Haji Mohd Hussain, Tutong District Officer, Acting Commander of RBN, Tutong Assistant District Officer, officers from the RBAF and the Islamic Da’wah Centre as well as families.
The ceremony began with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the Guest of Honour, followed by the recitation of verses from Al-Qur’an by Leading Hand (LH) Noorhamsah bin Ibrahim, RBN and the declaration of Syahadah (declaration of faith) by Lt JG Mazrina, RBN led by an officer from the Islamic Da’wah Centre.
The event was further celebrated with the Dikir Marhaban and the sprinkling of bunga rampai, followed by presentation of gifts by the Guest of Honour, invited guests and families.
Lt JG Mazrina bte Marzlan, RBN, now known as Nur Mazarina bte Abdullah Marzlan is the fourth RBAF personnel to convert to Islam this year and the 114th since 2006.
MAJLIS PENGISLAMAN BAGI SEORANG PEGAWAI TLDB
TUTONG, Sabtu, 28 Julai 2018 – Seorang pegawai Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei (TLDB), 1105 Leftenan Madya (Lt Dya) Mazrina bte Marzlan, TLDB telah memeluk agama Islam sebagai agama baru beliau. Majlis pengislaman tersebut diadakan di rumah kediaman kakak ipar beliau di Kampong Kebia, Tutong, hari ini.
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat pada majlis tersebut ialah Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Mejar Jeneral (Bersara) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Menteri Pertahanan II. Turut hadir ialah Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Umarali bin Esong, Ahli Majlis Mesyuarat Negara, Awang Shamsul Bahrin bin Haji Mohd Hussain, Pegawai Daerah Tutong, Pemangku Pemerintah TLDB, Penolong Pegawai Daerah Tutong, pegawai-pegawai ABDB dan Pusat Dakwah Islamiyyah serta keluarga.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah yang dipimpin oleh Yang Berhormat Pehin Menteri Pertahanan II dan diteruskan dengan bacaan ayat-ayat suci Al-Quran dibacakan oleh Laskar Kanan (LsK) Noorhamsah bin Ibrahim, TLDB, diikuti dengan lafaz syahadah oleh Lt Dya Mazrina, TLDB, yang dipimpin oleh pegawai dari Pusat Dakwah Islamiah.
Majlis diserikan lagi dengan laungan dikir marhaban dan taburan bunga rampai serta penyampaian cenderahati daripada Yang Berhormat serta jemputan yang hadir kepada saudara baru.
Lt Dya Mazrina bte Marzlan, TLDB, kini dikenali dengan nama Nur Mazarina bte Abdullah Marzlan merupakan anggota ABDB yang keempat memeluk Islam pada tahun ini dan yang ke-114 sejak tahun 2006.
