BOLKIAH GARRISON, Wednesday, 25 April 2018 – Major General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) today received separate courtesy calls from three officials whom are currently visiting Brunei Darussalam.
The Commander of RBAF met with Major General Daniel D. Yoo, Commander, Special Operations Command Pacific this morning. The continuous bilateral cooperation between the RBAF and the Special Operations Command Pacific, mainly through the Pacific Area Special Operations Conference, serves as an effective information-sharing avenue to improve the operability within the two Special Forces respectively.
In the afternoon, the Commander received a courtesy call from His Excellency Dr. John Subritzky, the Non-Resident High Commissioner of New Zealand to Brunei Darussalam based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Both sides commended the warm defence relationship between RBAF and New Zealand Defence Force which have developed through exchanges of visits and training.
Commander Stuart Watters, Commanding Officer HMAS TOOWOOMBA, Royal Australian Navy also paid a call to the Commander. Both sides expressed their satisfaction with the longstanding military-to-military relations between Brunei Darussalam and Australia. The HMAS TOOWOOMBA is in Brunei Darussalam for a goodwill visit from 24 April 2018 to 27 April 2018.
The visits by the New Zealand High Commissioner and the HMAS TOOWOOMBA coincide with the ANZAC ceremony held annually on 25 April 2018. Meanwhile, Major General Yoo, in his first visit to the Sultanate, will share on ‘Lessons Learnt on Marawi from the US Perspective’.
PEMERINTAH ABDB MENERIMA KUNJUNGAN HORMAT DARIPADA COMSOCPAC, PESURUHJAYA TINGGI NEW ZEALAND DAN PEMERINTAH KAPAL HMAS TOOWOOMBA, AUSTRALIA
BOLKIAH GARISON, Rabu, 25 April 2018 – Mejar Jeneral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) pada hari ini menerima tiga kunjungan hormat yang berasingan daripada pegawai-pegawai kanan yang sedang berada di Negara Brunei Darussalam.
Pemerintah ABDB bertemu dengan Mejar Jeneral Daniel D. Yoo, Commander, Special Operations Command Pacific pagi ini. Kerjasama dua hala yang berterusan di antara ABDB dan Special Operations Command Pacific terutama sekali dalam Pacific Area Special Operations Conference yang telah menjadi landasan dalam perkongsian maklumat yang efektif untuk meningkatkan operabiliti dalam Pasukan Khas masing-masing.
Dalam petang ini, Pemerintah ABDB menerima kunjungan hormat dari Tuan Yang Terutama Dr. John Subritzky, Pesuruhjaya Tinggi New Zealand ke Negara Brunei Darussalam yang menetap di Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Kedua belah pihak berpuas hati dengan hubungan pertahanan yang rapat di antara ABDB dan New Zealand Defence Force yang telah berkembang melalui pertukaran lawatan dan latihan.
Komander Stuart Watters, Pegawai Pemerintah HMAS TOOWOOMBA, Tentera Laut Diraja Australia juga membuat kunjungan hormat kepada Pemerintah ABDB. Kedua belah pihak juga berpuas hati dengan hubungan ketenteraan dua hala yang lama terjalin di antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Australia. Kapal HMAS TOOWOOMBA berada di Negara Brunei Darussalam bagi lawatan muhibbah daripada 24 April 2018 hingga 27 April 2018.
Lawatan Pesuruhjaya Tinggi New Zealand dan HMAS TOOWOOMBA bertepatan dengan upacara ANZAC yang diadakan setiap tahun pada 25 April 2018. Sementara itu, Mejar Jeneral Yoo, dalam lawatan beliau yang pertama ke Negara Brunei Darussalam, akan berkongsi mengenai ‘Lessons Learnt on Marawi from the US Perspective’.
