CANBERRA, AUSTRALIA, Monday 19 Mac 2018 – Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Shahril Anwar bin Haji Ma’awiah, Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) attended the Biennial Air Power Conference 2018 hosted by the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) at the National Convention Centre, Canberra, Australia.
The theme of the Biennial Air Power Conference 2018 is “Air Power in a Disruptive World”, in which the conference aims to explore how geo-political strategy, environmental change and technology-based innovation are both disrupting and driving change across every level of national security. Presentations were delivered by top international and Australian experts including the military personnel of RAAF.
The Conference began with an opening address by the Chief of Air Force, Air Marshal Leo Davies, Royal Australian Air Force on the Future of Warfare followed by an address by the Australian Minister for Defence Senator the Honourable Marise Payne. Commander of RBAirF also attended the Biennial Air Power Conference official dinner held at the National Museum of Australia.
During the event, Commander of RBAirF was given the opportunity to tour the Australian War Memorial and witness the “Last Post Ceremony”, where the Roll of Honour in the Cloisters lists the names of the Australians whom have given their lives in war and other operations.
PEMERINTAH TUDB HADIRI BIENNIAL AIR POWER CONFERENCE 2018
Canberra, Australia, Isnin, 19 Mac 2018 – Brigadier Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Shahril Anwar bin Haji Ma’awiah, Pemerintah Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) menghadiri The Biennial Air Power Conference 2018 yang dikendalikan oleh Tentera Udara Diraja Australia (RAAF) di National Convention Centre, Canberra, Australia.
Tema bagi Biennial Air Power Conference 2018 tersebut adalah “Air Power in a Disruptive World” yang bertujuan untuk meneroka bagaimana strategi geo-politik, perubahan alam sekitar dan inovasi berasaskan teknologi mengganggu dan mampu mengubah seluruh peringkat keselamatan nasional. Taklimat persidangan disampaikan oleh pakar-pakar antarabangsa dan Australia termasuk kakitangan tentera RAAF.
Persidangan dimulakan dengan ucapan pembukaan oleh Pemerintah Tentera Udara Diraja Australia, Air Marshal Leo Davies mengenai masa depan peperangan dan diikuti dengan ucapan oleh Senator the Honourable Marise Payne. Pemerintah TUDB juga turut menghadiri Majlis Makan Malam Rasmi Biennial Air Power Conference yang diadakan di Muzium Negara Australia.
Sempena persidangan tersebut, Pemerintah TUDB berpeluang untuk menghadiri lawatan ke Australian War Memorial dan menyaksikan ” Last Post Ceremony ” di mana Roll of Honour di Cloisters, menyenaraikan nama-nama rakyat Australia yang telah berkorban dalam peperangan dan operasi-operasi lain.
