LUMUT CAMP, Saturday, 18 November 2017 – The 22nd Exercise Maju Bersama between the Royal Brunei Land Force and Singapore Army commenced today in an opening ceremony held at Third Battalion, Royal Brunei Land Force in Lumut Camp.
The opening ceremony was officiated by the Guest of Honour, Colonel Haji Muhd Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) and Brigadier General Siew Kum Wong, Chief of Staff-General Staff, Singapore Army.
Upon arrival, the Deputy Commander of RBLF and Chief of Staff-General Staff, Singapore Army received a General Salute and inspected the parade.
The ceremony was followed by the handing over of the exercise flag from Commanding Officer, 3rd Singapore Infantry Regiment to Commanding Officer, Third Battalion, Royal Brunei Land Force, signifying the commencement of the Exercise.
The exercise is conducted from 18 to 27 November 2017, involving personnel from B Company, 3rd Battalion Singapore Infantry Regiment, A and C Company, Third Battalion Royal Brunei Land Force.
Initially inaugurated in 1995, the exercise remains and continue to serve as a valuable platform in enhancing interoperability, capability and mutual understanding between the two armies. It also expands the scope of military cooperation, as well as the relations that has long existed between both countries’ land forces.
UPACARA PEMBUKAAN RASMI EKSESAIS MAJU BERSAMA KE-22
PERKHEMAHAN LUMUT, Sabtu 18 November 2017 – Eksesais Maju Bersama ke-22 di antara Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei dan Tentera Darat Republik Singapura secara rasminya bermula dalam satu upacara pembukaan pada hari ini bertempat di Batalion Ketiga, Perkhemahan Lumut.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Kolonel Haji Muhd Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Timbalan Pemerintah, Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei dan Brigadier Jeneral Siew Kum Wong, Ketua Staf-Jeneral Staf Tentera Darat Republik Singapura.
Sejurus ketibaan Timbalan Pemerintah Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei dan Ketua Staf-Jeneral Staf Tentera Darat Republik Singapura, acara dimulakan dengan menerima tabik hormat dan diikuti dengan pemeriksaan perbarisan.
Upacara diteruskan dengan penyerahan bendera eksesais dari Pegawai Pemerintah, 3rd Battalion Singapore Infantry Regiment kepada Pegawai Pemerintah, Batalion Ketiga, Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei, menandakan permulaan Eksesais tersebut.
Eksesais ini bermula pada 18 hingga 27 November 2017 melibatkan anggota-anggota dari Kompeni B, 3rd Battalion Singapore Infantry Regiment dan anggota-anggota dari Kompeni A dan Kompeni C, Batalion Ketiga Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei.
Eksesais Maju Bersama mula dikendalikan pada tahun 1995. Eksesais ini terus menjadi landasan penting dalam meningkatkan tahap interoperabiliti, keupayaan, serta persefahaman. Ianya juga dapat memperluaskan skop kerjasama serta mengukuhkan lagi keakraban di antara kedua belah Tentera Darat yang sudah sekian lama terjalin.
