BOLKIAH GARRISON, Thursday 14 September 2017 – Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) received two separate courtesy calls from Brigadier General (Retired) Teodoro Cirilo T. Torralba III, the Assistant Secretary for Plans and Programs of the Department of National Defense, Philippines and Air Marshal Verapong Niljinda, Director of Joint Personnel, Royal Thai Armed Forces this afternoon.
During the call with the Assistant Secretary for Plans and Programs of the Department of National Defense, Philippines, the Commander of RBAF welcomed back Assistant Secretary Torralba, who was previously the Defence Attaché of the Philippines to Brunei Darussalam from October 2005 to October 2008. The Commander of RBAF expressed pleasure at the current military relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Philippines which have progressed significantly through exchange of visits, courses and trainings, including the RBAF’s participation in the International Monitoring Team in Mindanao, Philippines. Both sides also discussed opportunities to further enhance the bilateral military cooperation in the future.
Following that, the call by the Director of Joint Personnel, Royal Thai Armed Forces also explored the potential areas in which bilateral military relations can be further elevated between the two countries. The Commander of RBAF expressed his appreciation at the warm relations between the two armed forces and looked forward to more upcoming interactions and cooperation between the Royal Thai Armed Forces and the RBAF in the near future.

KUNJUNGAN HORMAT DARIPADA ASSISTANT SECRETARY FOR PLANS AND PROGRAMS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF NATIONAL DEFENSE, PHILIPPINES DAN DIRECTOR OF JOINT PERSONNEL, ROYAL THAI ARMED FORCES
BOLKIAH GARISON, Khamis 14 September 2017 – Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Mejar Jeneral Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) menerima dua kunjungan hormat yang berasingan daripada Brigedier Jeneral (Bersara) Teodoro Cirilo T. Torralba III, Assistant Secretary for Plans and Programs of the Department of National Defense, Philippines dan Air Marshal Verapong Niljinda, Director of Joint Personnel, Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters petang tadi.
Semasa kunjungan hormat daripada Assistant Secretary for Plans and Programs of the Department of National Defense, Philippines, Pemerintah ABDB mengalu-alukan kedatangan Assistant Secretary Torralba yang sebelum ini telah menjawat jawatan sebagai Atase Pertahanan Republik Filipina di Negara Brunei Darussalam dari Oktober 2005 hingga Oktober 2008. Pemerintah ABDB juga menyatakan rasa puas hati dengan hubungan pertahanan di antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Filipina yang semakin terjalin erat melalui pertukaran lawatan, kursus dan latihan, serta penglibatan ABDB dalam Pasukan Pemantau Antarabangsa di Mindanao. Kedua belah pihak memuji di atas sokongan dan kerjasama di antara kedua Angkatan Tentera dan berharap untuk meningkatkan hubungan angkatan tentera tersebut pada masa akan datang.
Seterusnya, kunjungan hormat daripada Director of Joint Personnel, Royal Thai Armed Forces juga diadakan dan kedua belah pihak mengalu-alukan bagi peluang untuk memperluaskan hubungan angkatan tentera secara dua hala di antara kedua buah negara. Pemerintah ABDB merakamkan penghargaan di atas hubungan yang rapat di antara kedua Angkatan Tentera dan juga menantikan interaksi dan kerjasama di antara Royal Thai Armed Forces dan ABDB pada masa yang terdekat.
