BOLKIAH GARRISON, Monday, 19 October 2020 – A flag handover ceremony for Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) officers and personnel that will be deployed as part of the 17th contingent of the International Monitoring Team (IMT) in Mindanao, Republic of the Philippines was held at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Bolkiah Garison today.
The ceremony was officiated by Major General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, Commander of RBAF with the handing over of the national flag to Lieutenant Colonel Mohd Fakaruddin Zuraidie bin Haji Ramli, Head of Brunei Darussalam’s 17th IMT contingent followed by presentation of IMT badges to the officers and personnel of the contingent. The contingent comprises eight RBAF officers and personnel as well as an officer from the RBPF who are scheduled to leave Brunei Darussalam on 20 October 2020.
Present at the ceremony were Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Defence, Ambassador of Republic of Philippines to Brunei Darussalam, Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police as representative of the Commissioner of Police, Service Commanders, RBAF Joint Force Commander, Deputy Permanent Secretaries of Ministry of Defence, Directors, Commandants, Defence Attaches of Malaysia and Republic of Philippines to Brunei Darussalam, Senior Officers and Officers of Ministry of Defence and RBAF.
This year marks the 16th year of Brunei Darussalam’s participation in the IMT in Mindanao, Republic of the Philippines. This mission is part of RBAF contribution towards peace process and stability of Mindanao, Republic of the Philippines.
MAJLIS PENYERAHAN BENDERA BAGI MISI PASUKAN PEMANTAU ANTARABANGSA MINDANAO
BOLKIAH GARISON, Isnin, 19 Oktober 2020 – Majlis Penyerahan Bendera Negara Brunei Darussalam bagi pegawai dan anggota Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) dan Pasukan Polis Diraja Brunei (PPDB) yang akan menyertai Kontingen ke-17 Negara Brunei Darussalam bagi misi Pasukan Pemantau Antarabangsa di Mindanao telah diadakan di Dewan Serbaguna, Bolkiah Garison hari ini.
Majlis telah disempurnakan oleh Mejar Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, Pemerintah ABDB dengan penyampaian bendera Negara kepada Leftenen Kolonel Mohd Fakaruddin Zuraidie bin Haji Ramli, selaku Ketua Kontinjen Negara Brunei Darussalam diikuti dengan pemasangan lencana kepada pegawai-pegawai dan anggota-anggota kontinjen.
Kontinjen ini terdiri dari lapan pegawai dan anggota ABDB serta seorang pegawai PPDB yang dijadualkan untuk bertolak dari Negara Brunei Darussalam pada 20 Oktober 2020.
Turut hadir ialah Setiausaha Tetap Kementerian Pertahanan, Duta Republik Filipina ke Negara Brunei Darussalam, wakil Pesuruhjaya Polis Diraja Brunei iaitu Pemangku Timbalan Pesuruhjaya Polis Diraja Brunei, Pemerintah-pemerintah Angkatan Tentera dan Angkatan Bersama ABDB, Timbalan-timbalan Setiausaha Tetap Kementerian Pertahanan, Pengarah-pengarah, Komandan-komandan, Penasihat-penasihat Pertahanan Malaysia dan Republik Filipina ke Negara Brunei Darussalam, Pegawai-pegawai Kanan dan Pegawai-pegawai Kementerian Pertahanan dan ABDB.
Tahun ini merupakan tahun ke-16 Negara Brunei Darussalam menghantar Pasukan Pemantau Antarabangsa di Mindanao, Republik Filipina. Misi ini merupakan sebagai salah satu sumbangan ABDB ke arah proses perdamaian dan kestabilan di Mindanao, Republik Filipina.
