PEKAN TUTONG, Wednesday, 19 August 2020 – Mass prayers to mark the beginning of the Islamic New Year 1442 Hijrah were held at mosques,
suraus and religious halls
across the nation this evening in line with the theme
“Generasi Berilmu, Beramal dan Berakhlak Memacu Pembangunan Umat”.
A similar ceremony was organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs at the Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Pekan Tutong where present as the special guest was
Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, the Second Minister of Defence.
The end of the year 1441 Hijrah prayer was led by Imam Awang Abdul Hafiy bin Yahya. The congregants then performed the mass Maghrib prayer, mass reading of the New Year 1442 Hijrah prayer followed by Sunnat Hajat prayer led by Imam Awang Shahibol Omar bin Haji Mohd Yusof.
The event was held according to the standard operating procedure (SOP) set by the by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Religious Affairs to curb the spread of COVID-19.
MENTERI PERTAHANAN KEDUA HADIRI MAJLIS SAMBUTAN AWAL TAHUN BARU 1442 HIJRAH DI MASJID HASSANAL BOLKIAH, PEKAN TUTONG
PEKAN TUTONG, Rabu, 19 Ogos 2020 – Acara solat berjemaah untuk
mengimarahkan sambutan Awal Tahun Baru 1442 Hijrah telah diadakan di masjid, surau dan balai-balai ibadat di seluruh negara pada petang ini bertemakan “Generasi Berilmu, Beramal dan Berakhlak Memacu Pembangunan Umat”.
Majlis serupa telah dianjurkan oleh Kementerian Hal Ehwal Ugama bertempat di Masjid Hassanal Bolkiah, Pekan Tutong. Hadir selaku Tetamu Khas ialah
Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Mejar Jeneral (Bersara) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Menteri Pertahanan Kedua.
Doa Akhir Tahun 1441 Hijrah telah dibacakan oleh Imam Awang Abdul Hafiy bin Yahya. Ini diteruskan dengan sembahyang fardhu Maghrib berjemaah, diikuti dengan bacaan Doa Awal Tahun 1442 Hijrah beramai-ramai, menunaikan Sembahyang Sunat Hajat yang diketuai oleh Imam Awang Shahibol Omar bin Haji Mohd Yusof.
Sambutan diadakan mengikut garispandu yang telah dikeluarkan oleh Kementerian Kesihatan dan Kementerian Hal Ehwal Ugama bagi mengawal penyebaran COVID-19.
