JERUDONG, Friday, 28 February 2020 – A Dental Officer from Dental Services, Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), Captain Dr Syazirah binti Kuan recited her Islamic oath at her family member’s residence in Jalan Selayun Jerudong, Kampong Sengkurong B.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF). Also present were RBAF Services Commanders, Brunei-Muara District Officer, Director of the Islamic Da’wah Centre, officers from the RBAF and the Islamic Da’wah Centre, as well as family members.
The ceremony began with the recital of verses from the Al-Qur’an and the declaration of Syahadah (declaration of faith) by Captain Dr Syazirah binti Kuan, led by an officer from the Islamic Da’wah Centre. This was followed by the Dikir Marhaban, the sprinkling of ‘bunga rampai’ as well as gift presentation by the Guest of Honour, invited guests and families.
Captain Dr Syazirah binti Kuan is the first RBAF personnel to convert to Islam this year and the 127th since 2006.
PEGAWAI PERGIGIAN ABDB MEMELUK AGAMA ISLAM
JERUDONG, Jumaat, 28 Februari 2020 – Seorang pegawai pergigian dari Khidmat Pergigian, Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB), Kapten Dr Syazirah binti Kuan telah memeluk agama Islam sebagai agama baru beliau. Majlis diadakan di kediaman ahli keluarganya di Jalan Selayun Jerudong, Kampong Sengkurong B.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Mejar Jeneral Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB). Turut hadir ialah Pemerintah-pemerintah Angkatan Tentera, Pegawai Daerah Brunei-Muara, Pengarah Pusat Da’wah Islamiah, pegawai-pegawai ABDB dan Pusat Da’wah Islamiah, serta ahli keluarga.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan ayat-ayat suci Al-Quran, diikuti dengan lafaz syahadah oleh Kapten Dr Syazirah binti Kuan, yang dipimpin oleh pegawai dari Pusat Da’wah Islamiah. Majlis diserikan dengan laungan Dikir Marhaban, taburan bunga rampai serta dan penyampaian cenderahati daripada Tetamu Kehormat.
Kapten Dr Syazirah binti Kuan merupakan anggota ABDB yang pertama memeluk agama Islam tahun ini dan yang ke-127 sejak tahun 2006.
