GADONG, Thursday, 14 November 2019 – The 6th Brunei-Indonesia Joint Operations and Exercise Sub-Committee (6th BRUNESIA JOESC) Meeting between the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and Tentara Nasional Indonesia (TNI) was held today at the Rizqun Hotel, Gadong.
The meeting was co-chaired by the RBAF Joint Force Commander, Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim and Air Commodore Jorry S. Koloay representing the Assistant to the TNI Commander-in-Chief for Operations.
BRUNESIA JOESC is one of the sub-committees that was established under the Brunei-Indonesia High Level Committee (BRUNESIA HLC) since 4 March 2013. The sub-committee meeting provides joint progress reports, evaluations, and recommendations to the BRUNESIA HLC regarding the scope of military-to-military operations and exercises between the two Armed Forces.
The objective of the JOESC is to optimise the cooperation between the two Armed Forces in the field of operations and exercises. It also serves as a platform to reflect on previous exercises conducted by all services in order to improve future ones and discuss tentative plans of exercises for the year 2020.
The next BRUNESIA JOESC meeting is planned to be held in Indonesia next year.
MESYUARAT BRUNEI-INDONESIA JOINT OPERATIONS AND EXERCISES SUB-COMMITTEE (JOESC) KALI KE-6
GADONG, Khamis, 14 November 2019 – Mesyuarat Brunei-Indonesia Joint Operations and Exercises Sub-Committee kali ke-6 (BRUNESIA JOESC Ke-6) antara Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) dan Tentara Nasional Indonesia (TNI) telah diadakan hari ini di Rizqun Hotel, Gadong.
Mesyuarat ini dipengerusikan bersama oleh Brigedier Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersama, ABDB dan Marsekal Pertama Jorry S.Koloay bagi mewakili Asisten Operasi Panglima Tentara Nasional Indonesia.
BRUNESIA JOESC merupakan salah satu sub-komiti yang telah ditubuhkan di bawah Komiti Tertinggi Brunei – Indonesia (BRUNEISIA HLC) sejak 4 Mac 2013. Mesyuarat sub-komiti ini bertanggungjawab bagi menyediakan laporan kemajuan bersama, penilaian, dan cadangan kepada BRUNESIA HLC mengenai skop kerjasama antara kedua angkatan tentera sama ada di bahagian operasi mahupun latihan.
Objektif JOESC ini adalah untuk memperbaiki dan memperluaskan kerjasama antara kedua-dua angkatan tentera dalam bidang operasi dan latihan. Ia juga berfungsi sebagai platform untuk mengimbas semula eksesais yang telah dikendalikan, memberi cadangan bagi memperbaiki eksesais yang akan datang dan juga membincangkan rancangan tentatif bagi tahun 2020.
Mesyuarat BRUNESIA JOESC selanjutnya dirancang untuk diadakan di Indonesia pada tahun depan.
