BOLKIAH GARRISON, Monday, 1 October 2019 – A dialogue session was held between Singapore’s Senior Minister of State for Defence Mr Heng Chee How and the participants of the 11th Brunei Darussalam – Republic of Singapore Defence Scholars Development Programme (11th BSDSDP) this afternoon at the Ministry of Defence.
Upon arrival Mr Heng Chee How was welcomed by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Second Minister of Defence before proceeding with the dialogue session.
The dialogue session was intended to provide participants and attendees of the 11th BSDSDP with the opportunity to exchange perspectives with Mr Heng Chee How on a wide range of topics including career development and leadership.
Mr Heng Chee How also reflected upon the history of bilateral relations between Brunei Darussalam and Republic of Singapore and how it has developed into the warm and friendly state enjoyed by both countries today.
Mr Heng Chee How is in the country to attend the 7th Young Leaders’ Programme (YLP) from 2 to 4 October 2019 and took the opportunity to have the dialogue session with the 11th BSDSDP participants.
Meanwhile, the Brunei phase of the 11th BSDSDP has been on-going since 28 September 2019.

Sesi dialog ini bertujuan untuk memberi peserta
BSDSDP peluang untuk bertukar-tukar perspektif dengan Tuan Heng Chee How dalam pelbagai topik termasuk pembangunan kerjaya dan kepimpinan.
Dalam dialog tersebut, Tuan Heng Chee How juga mengimbas kembali sejarah hubungan dua hala antara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Singapura dan bagaimana ia telah berkembang ke tahap yang ada pada masa ini.
