BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 10 June 2022 – The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) Commander’s Takeover Ceremony was held today at the parade square, First Battalion (1Bn RBLF), Berakas Garrison.
Present at the ceremony was the newly appointed Commander of the RBLF, Colonel Saifulrizal bin Abdul Latif. Also in attendance was the Deputy Commander of RBLF, Military Directors, Senior officers of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Land Force Sergeant Major and RBLF personnel.
Upon arrival at the parade square, the newly appointed Commander of the RBLF received the honourary salute and later inspected the Guard of Honour comprising personnel from RBLF commanded by Major Erawan bin Haji Abu Bakar, Deputy Commanding Officer of 1Bn RBLF. The ceremony then continued with the recitation of
Surah Al-Fatihah led by Major Abd Mujib Bin Japar, Staff Officer Grade One Religious Operations of the RBAF Religious Directorate (JAMA’AT).
Colonel Saifulrizal bin Abdul Latif then delivered his inaugural speech as the 13th Commander of the RBLF where he emphasised numerous factors that needs to be taken into account by all levels in the RBLF. Firstly, for all RBLF personnel to have an unwavering pledge of allegiance before His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. This includes to exercise trust in keeping the peace and defend sovereignty with sincere and right spirit. He further conveyed his desire for the RBLF to achieve a sustainable leadership at all levels in being authoritative and well-rounded by maintaining the quality of work, professionalism, and discipline.
Secondly, the importance to prioritise RBLF’s preparedness level to uphold the sovereignty and security of the country where RBLF is an important asset in contributing towards effectiveness, execution of tasks and missions. The RBLF Commander then called upon to those entrusted to align to the Force’s Strategic Planning 2035 and Force Structure Review for RBLF in carving the direction of the RBLF in the short and long term. With this, emphasis is placed on the readiness of RBLF assets at an optimal level to perform any mission and operation at any time while supporting the Whole of Nation approach.
Thirdly, the RBLF should always be prepared to carry out its operations in full dedication and trust to achieve this effectiveness. Thus, the level of spiritual strength also needs to be strengthened by drawing close to Allah The Almighty, to reap the blessings as well as empower all responsibilities entrusted to the RBLF.
To bless the ceremony, Major Abd Mujib was once again invited to recite the
Doa Selamat and
Doa Ambil Alih Tugas as well as
Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam. The ceremony then proceeded to the Officer’s Mess, Berakas Garrison for refreshment and concluded with a Closing
Doa, a group photo and the signing of parchment by the newly installed Commander of RBLF.
UPACARA PERBARISAN MENGAMBIL ALIH TUGAS PEMERINTAH TENTERA DARAT DIRAJA BRUNEI
BERAKAS GARISON, Jumaat, 10 Jun 2022 – Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) telah mengadakan Upacara Perbarisan Mengambil Alih Tugas Pemerintah TDDB pada hari ini bertempat di Padang Kawad, Batalion Pertama (1Bn TDDB), Berakas Garison.
Hadir di majlis tersebut ialah Kolonel Saifulrizal bin Abdul Latif, Pemerintah TDDB yang baru dilantik. Turut hadir ialah Timbalan Pemerintah TDDB, Pengarah-pengarah Jabatanarah tentera, Pegawai-pegawai Kanan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB), Pegawai-pegawai, Sarjan Mejar Tentera Darat dan anggota-anggota TDDB.
Sejurus tiba di Padang Kawad, Pemerintah TDDB yang baru menerima Tabik Hormat dan seterusnya memeriksa Perbarisan Kawalan Kehormatan yang terdiri dari anggota-anggota TDDB dengan diperintah oleh Mejar Erawan bin Haji Abu Bakar, Timbalan Pegawai Pemerintah 1Bn TDDB. Majlis kemudian diteruskan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah diketuai oleh Mejar Abd Mujib Bin Japar, Pegawai Turus Gerakan Agama di Jabatanarah Agama ABDB (JAMA’AT).
Kolonel Saifulrizal bin Abdul Latif kemudian menyampaikan ucapan beliau sebagai Pemerintah TDDB ke 13 dengan menekankan beberapa faktor yang perlu diambil kira oleh setiap peringkat dalam TDDB. Pertama, bagi seluruh warga TDDB melafazkan ikrar taat setia yang tidak berbelah bagi kepada Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam. Ini termasuk menjalankan amanah menjaga keamanan dan mempertahankan kedaulatan dengan semangat yang ikhlas dan jitu. Beliau turut menyampaikan hasrat agar TDDB mencapai kepimpinan yang mampan di semua peringkat agar menjadi pemimpin yang berwibawa dan mengekalkan kualiti kerja, profesionalisme dan disiplin.
Kedua, kepentingan mengutamakan tahap kesiapsiagaan TDDB demi menegakkan kedaulatan dan keselamatan negara di mana TDDB merupakan aset yang penting dalam menyumbang ke arah berkesanan, pelaksanaan tugas dan misi. Pemerintah TDDB turut menyeru kepada mereka yang diamanahkan untuk menyelaraskan Perancangan Strategik Angkatan 2035 dan Kajian Struktur Angkatan untuk TDDB untuk mengukir hala tuju TDDB dalam masa jangka pendek dan panjang. Dengan ini, penekanan diberikan kepada kesediaan aset TDDB pada tahap optima untuk melaksanakan sebarang misi dan operasi pada bila-bila masa sambil menyokong pendekatan
Whole of Nation.
Ketiga, TDDB perlu sentiasa menjalankan operasi dengan penuh dedikasi dan amanah untuk mencapai keberkesanan ini. Justeru, tahap kekuatan rohani juga perlu dimantapkan dengan pendekatan diri kepada Allah SWT, untuk meraih rahmat serta memperkasakan segala tanggungjawab yang diamanahkan kepada TDDB.
Bagi memberkati majlis, Mejar Abd Mujib Bin Japar sekali lagi dijemput bagi membacakan bacaan Doa Selamat dan Doa Ambil Alih Tugas serta Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam. Majlis kemudian beredar ke Mes Pegawai Berakas Garison bagi menikmati jamuan dan diakhiri dengan Doa Penutup, bergambar ramai serta menandatangani lembaran kenangan oleh Pemerintah TDDB yang baru.
