- In conjunction with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Diamond Jubilee Anniversary, a Tadarus Al-Quran opening ceremony was held at Surau Ad-Difa’, Bolkiah Garrison today. This opening ceremony was also held simultaneously in all surau’s across other RBAF’s camps.
Present at the event was Major General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, Commander of the RBAF. Also in attendance were Brigadier General Haji Abdul Razak bin Abdul Kadir, RBAF Joint Force Commander, senior officers, officers and personnel of RBAF.
The Tadarus Al-Quran opening ceremony was officiated by the Commander of RBAF with the recital of
Surah Al-Fatihah. The ceremony then proceeded with the reading of
Surah Al-Baqarah followed by
Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam before the ceremony concluded with the mass Asar Prayer led by Imam Suhif @ Syu’aib bin Haji Abdullah, Imam of Surau Ad-Difa’.
Besides enlivening the RBAF Diamond Jubilee Anniversary, the ceremony was also meant to instil the spirit of reciting and appreciating Al-Quran among personnel within the Ministry of Defence and RBAF.
MAJLIS TADARUS AL-QURAN SEMPENA SAMBUTAN JUBLI INTAN HARI ULANG TAHUN ABDB
BOLKIAH GARISON, Rabu, 3 Mac 2021 – Sebagai memperingati Sambutan Jubli Intan Hari Ulang Tahun Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB), majlis pembukaan Tadarus Al-Quran diadakan di Surau Ad-Difa ’, Bolkiah Garison hari ini. Majlis serupa juga telah diadakan serentak di kesemua surau ABDB.
Hadir ke majlis tersebut ialah Mejar Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, Pemerintah ABDB. Turut hadir juga ialah Brigedier Jeneral Haji Abdul Razak bin Abdul Kadir, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersama, pegawai-pegawai kanan, pegawai-pegawai dan anggota-anggota ABDB.
Majlis pelancaran tadarus Al-Quran dirasmikan oleh Pemerintah ABDB dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah. Majlis diteruskan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Baqarah dan Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam sebelum diakhiri dengan Solat Asar berjemaah diketuai oleh Imam Suhif @ Syu’aib bin Haji Abdullah, Imam Surau Ad- Difa ‘.
Selain untuk meraikan sambutan Jubli Intan Hari Ulang Tahun ABDB, upacara ini juga bertujuan untuk memartabatkan pembacaan dan penghayatan Al-Quran di kalangan anggota-anggota Kementerian Pertahanan dan ABDB.
