RIMBA, GADONG, Friday, 27 November 2020 – The Royal Brunei Malay Reserve Regiment (ASMDB) celebrated its 33rd anniversary with a parade that took place at the Rimba Gadong Camp.
Present as the guest of honour was Lieutenant Colonel Muhd Suradzin bin Haji Muhd Yusof, Commanding Officer of ASMDB. Also present were the Deputy Commanding Officer of ASMDB, officers, staff of ASMDB, cadets, as well as guests from other agencies.
The ceremony began with the guest of honour receiving a salute from the guard of honour and inspection of the parade of 277 personnel from ASMDB regulars, reserves and RBAF cadets. This was followed by a speech by Commanding Officer of ASMDB where he shared ASMDB’s and the military cadets achievements for this year, including an increase of 5% of reserve members from the previous year, the approval of the ASMDB badge on the 23 September 2020 and the D2P uniform for military cadet on the 30 October 2020.
He also highlighted ASMDB’s success in carrying out the CADRE coaching course for the 10th intake of the National Service Programme’s coaches and added that several collaborations with government agencies will be implemented to further enhance the member’s expertise in line with the whole of nation and government approach. He also reminded all members to be in high spirit and discipline in safeguarding the good name of ASMDB as well as strengthen their faith with religious activities.
The ceremony concluded with the recital of doa selamat, a group photo, ASMDB 33rd anniversary cake cutting event and presentation of souvenirs at the ASMDB Dining Hall.
Several activities were held in conjunction with its anniversary including Tahlil and Doa Kesyukuran ceremony, blood donation campaign, cleaning activities at Muslim cemeteries, presentation of donation, sports festival and goodwill games.
ULANG TAHUN ASKAR SIMPANAN MELAYU DIRAJA BRUNEI KE-33
RIMBA, GADONG, Jumaat, 27 November 2020 – Askar Simpanan Melayu Diraja Brunei (ASMDB) telah mengadakan Perbarisan Hari Ulang Tahunnya ke-33 bertempat di Padang Kawad ASMDB Kem Rimba, Gadong.
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat ialah Leftenan Kolonel Muhd Suradzin bin Haji Muhd Yusof, Pegawai Pemerintah ASMDB. Turut hadir ialah Timbalan Pegawai Pemerintah ASMDB, Pegawai-pegawai dan anggota-anggota ABDB dan Kadet Tentera serta jemputan daripada agensi luar.
Majlis dimulakan dengan tetamu kehormat menerima tabik hormat daripada kawalan perbarisan diikuti dengan pemeriksaan perbarisan terdiri daripada 277 Pegawai dan anggota, Simpanan ASMDB dan Kadet Tentera ABDB. Ini diikuti dengan ucapan dari Pegawai Pemerintah ASMDB dimana beliau mengongsikan pencapaian ASMDB dan Kadet Tentera pada tahun ini termasuk peningkatan 5% ahli simpanan dari tahun sebelumnya, kelulusan Lencana Unit ASMDB pada 23 September 2020 dan pakaian seragam D2P bagi Kadet Tentera pada 30 Oktober 2020.
Beliau turut mengongsikan kejayaan ASMDB melaksanakan kursus Jurulatih CADRE pengambilan Jurulatih PKBN yang ke-10 dan menambah bahawa beberapa kolaborasi dengan agensi kerajaan akan dilaksanakan bagi menambah kepakaran anggota sejajar dengan pendekatan whole of nation and government. Beliau juga mengingatkan semua anggota untuk bersemangat dan berdisiplin bagi bersama-sama menjaga nama baik ASMDB serta memperkukuhkan keimanan dengan aktiviti keugamaan.
Upacara diakhiri dengan bacaan doa selamat, bergambar ramai, upacara memotong kek Hari Ulang Tahun ASMDB ke-33 dan penyampaian cenderahati di Dewan Makan ASMDB.
Beberapa aktiviti juga dijalankan sempena sambutan hari ulang tahun ini termasuk Majlis Tahlil, Doa Kesyukuran, Kempen Derma Darah, aktiviti membersihkan tanah perkuburan Islam, acara penyerahan derma, festival sukan dan perlawanan muhibah.
