BOLKIAH GARRISON, Friday, 4 December 2020 – The Brunei Darussalam’s contingent under the 16th International Monitoring Team (IMT-16), led by Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Mutalip bin Bujang, safely returned to Brunei Darussalam after successfully completing their tour of duty in Mindanao, Republic of the Philippines for 1 year 2 months.
A welcoming ceremony for the eight Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) personnel and one from the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) was held today at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Bolkiah Garrison.
Present as the Guest of Honour was the Joint Force Commander RBAF, Brigadier General Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd. Kadir.
The outgoing IMT-16 members also received medals from the Government of the Republic of the Philippines for their invaluable service in the IMT to maintain peace for the people of Mindanao, Republic of the Philippines. The medals were presented by Brigadier General Jose H Narciso, Chief of Staff 6 ID AFP at 6 ID HQ Camp Siongco Maguindanao on 10th November 2020.
Prior to the contingent’s flight home, a handover ceremony between the 16th IMT and 17th IMT was held on 11th November 2020 at the Team Site 1 Headquarters, Cotabato City, Mindanao, witnessed by Major General Dato’ Haji Muhd Anwar bin Abdullah, the Head of Mission IMT M-16.
The team also made a farewell call to Ahod Al Haj Murad Ebrahim, Interim Chief Minister Bangsamoro Autonomous Region Muslim in Mindanao and the Chairman of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) at Camp Darapanan, Maguindanao on the 17 October 2020.
PASUKAN PEMANTAU ANTARABANGSA KE-16 NEGARA BRUNEI DARUSSALAM PULANG KE TANAH AIR
BOLKIAH GARISON, Jumaat, 4 Disember 2020 – Pasukan Pemantau Antarabangsa Negara Brunei Darussalam (PPA NBD) yang ke-16, diketuai oleh Leftenan Kolonel Abdul Mutalip bin Bujang, telah selamat pulang ke tanahair setelah menjalankan tugas di Mindanao, Republik Filipina selama 1 tahun 2 bulan.
Majlis mengalu-alukan kepulangan lapan anggota Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) dan seorang anggota Pasukan Polis Diraja Brunei telah diadakan di Dewan Serbaguna, Bolkiah Garison.
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat adalah Pemerintah Angkatan Bersama ABDB, Brigedier Jeneral Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd. Kadir.
Anggota-anggota PPA NBD ke-16 juga telah menerima pingat daripada Kerajaan Republik Filipina di atas perkhidmatan mereka yang tidak ternilai sebagai PPA bagi mengekalkan keamanan bagi penduduk Mindanao, Republik Filipina. Pingat-pingat tersebut telah disampaikan oleh Brigedier Jeneral Jose H Narciso, Chief of Staff 6 ID AFP di Markas Kem 6ID, Siongco Maguindanao pada 10 November 2020.
Sebelum kontinjen ini berangkat balik, satu majlis penyerahan tugas di antara PPA ke-16 dan PPA ke-17 telah diadakan pada 11 November 2020 di Markas Team Site 1, Cotabato City, Mindanao disaksikan oleh Mejar Jeneral Dato’ Haji Muhd Anwar bin Abdullah, Ketua Misi PPA M-16.
Pasukan ini juga telah mengadakan kunjungan perpisahan kepada Ahod Al Haj Murad Ebrahim, Interim Chief Minister Bangsamoro Autonomous Region Muslim in Mindanao merangkap Pengerusi Barisan Pembebasan Islam Moro (MILF) di Kem Darapanan, Maguindanao pada 17 Oktober 2020.
