BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Monday, 24 July 2023 – Senior Colonel Dai Qilin, The Defence Attaché of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Brunei Darussalam hosted a reception to commemorate the 96th Anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) which falls on 1st August, at Tarindak D’Seni in the capital.
Amongst those present at the ceremony were Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi Bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II and his spouse, Yang Mulia Datin Hajah Kalshom binti Haji Suhaili.
Also present was His Excellency Xiao Jianguo, Ambassador-Designate Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam and spouse, Yang Mulia Mejar Jeneral Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, the Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and his spouse, Yang Mulia Datin Ummisyafinah binti Haji Zaini, Acting Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Defence and other high-level military and civilian officers, foreign delegates, resident defence advisors and attachés in Brunei Darussalam.
In his remarks, Senior Colonel Dai Qilin highlighted that this year marks the fifth anniversary of the China-Brunei strategic cooperative relationship, one of which PLA and RBAF plays an important part of the friendly and cooperative relationship that has achieved great progress through high-level visits, security dialogues, joint training and exercises, and other areas of cooperation.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Isnin, 24 Julai 2023 – Senior Colonel Dai Qilin, Atase Pertahanan di Kedutaan Republik Rakyat China di Negara Brunei Darussalam telah menghoskan majlis malam resepsi bagi sambutan untuk memperingati ulang tahun ke-96 The founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA), Republik Rakyat China yang jatuh pada 1 Ogos, di Tarindak D’Seni, di ibu negara.
Antara yang hadir pada majlis tersebut ialah Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Mejar Jeneral (Bersara) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri dan Menteri Pertahanan II dan Yang Mulia Datin Hajah Kalshom binti Haji Suhaili.
Turut hadir ialah Tuan Yang Terutama Xiao Jianguo, Bakal Duta Besar Istimewa dan Mutlak Republik Rakyat China ke Negara Brunei Darussalam dan isteri, Yang Mulia Mejar Jeneral Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) dan Yang Mulia Datin Ummisyafinah binti Haji Zaini, Pemangku Setiausaha Tetap, Kementerian Pertahanan serta pegawai-pegawai kanan tentera dan awam, perwakilan-perwakilan asing, penasihat-penasihat dan atase-atase pertahanan di Negara Brunei Darussalam.
Dalam ucapannya, Senior Colonel Dai Qilin menekankan bahawa tahun ini merupakan ulang tahun kelima hubungan kerjasama strategik diantara Republik Rakyat China dan Negara Brunei Darussalam, di mana salah satunya adalah PLA dan ABDB memainkan peranan penting dalam hubungan mesra dan kerjasama yang telah mencapai kemajuan besar melalui lawatan peringkat tertinggi, dialog keselamatan, latihan dan eksesais bersama, serta bidang kerjasama yang lain.
