REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, Sunday, 04 September 2022 – Brigadier General (Retired) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd. Kadir, Deputy Minister of Defence, made an introductory visit to the Republic of Singapore from 31 August to 04 September 2022.
Upon arrival at the Ministry of Defence Singapore, the Deputy Minister of Defence inspected the Guard of Honour comprising personnel of the Singapore Armed Forces. This proceeded with a courtesy call to His Excellency Dr Ng Eng Hen, Minister of Defence of Singapore. During the call, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continue bolstering defence ties and enhance interactions and exchanges in areas of mutual interest through various bilateral and multilateral platforms towards regional peace and stability.
During the visit, the Deputy Minister of Defence was conferred with Singapore’s prestigious military award, the Pingat Jasa Gemilang (Tentera), in recognition of his outstanding contributions to enhancing the excellent relations between the Royal Brunei Land Forces and the Singapore Army during his tenure as Commander of Royal Brunei Land Force.
As part of the introductory visit programme, Deputy Minister of Defence visited the Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA), Maritime Security and Response Vessels at Changi Naval Base, ST Engineering Hub, and Cybersecurity Operations, Sensing, Monitoring, and Investigation Centre (COSMIC).
The visit by the Deputy Minister of Defence to the Republic of Singapore underscores the robust and enduring defence ties between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore. Regular interactions through various cooperation platforms, such as high-level defence and military visits, bilateral and multilateral exercises, professional exchanges, training and courses, have resulted in the close professional connections and camaraderie.
TIMBALAN MENTERI PERTAHANAN MENGADAKAN LAWATAN PENGENALAN KE REPUBLIK SINGAPURA
REPUBLIK SINGAPURA, Ahad, 04 September 2022 – Brigedier Jeneral (Bersara) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd. Kadir, Timbalan Menteri Pertahanan, telah membuat lawatan pengenalan ke Republik Singapura daripada 31 Ogos hingga 04 September 2022.
Setibanya di Kementerian Pertahanan Singapura, Timbalan Menteri Pertahanan memeriksa Kawalan Kehormatan yang terdiri daripada anggota Angkatan Bersenjata Republik Singapura. Ini diikuti dengan kunjungan hormat kepada Tuan Yang Terutama Dr Ng Eng Hen, Menteri Pertahanan Republik Singapura. Semasa perjumpaan tersebut, kedua-dua pihak mengulangi komitmen bersama untuk terus memperkukuhkan hubungan pertahanan dan meningkatkan lagi interaksi dan pertukaran dalam bidang berkepentingan bersama melalui pelbagai platform dua hala dan pelbagai hala yang turut menyumbang kepada keamanan dan kestabilan serantau.
Semasa lawatan tersebut, Timbalan Menteri Pertahanan dikurniakan anugerah ketenteraan berprestij Singapura, Pingat Jasa Gemilang (Tentera), bagi mengiktiraf sumbangan besar beliau dalam mempertingkatkan lagi hubungan sangat kukuh diantara Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei dan Tentera Darat Republik Singapura semasa memegang jawatan Pemerintah Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei.
