PHILIPPINES, Tuesday 31 May 2016 – The 45th Pacific Area Senior Officer Logistics Seminar (PASOLS) Planning Group meeting was held at the Lighthouse Marina Resort Hotel in Subic Bay, Zambales, Philippines from 31 May 2016 to 03 June 2016 which gather 31 countries from the Indo – Pacific Area.

The 45th PASOLS Planning Group (PPG) aims to discuss the programmes, agenda and engagement for the upcoming 45th PASOLS which will be hosted by the Singapore Armed Forces and held at the Marina Mandarin Hotel, Singapore on 31 October 2016 to 4 November 2016. The main theme for this year’s PASOLS is Humanitarian Assistance & Disaster Relief, which is a fruitful topic for logisticians and one in which all have expertise to lend.

The 45th PPG was officiated by Major General Job S Yucoco, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, J4, The Armed Forces of the Philippines.  In his opening remarks, he believed the gathering of collective knowledge could discuss, share and communicate ideas as well as to learn from each other’s experiences.

The Royal Brunei Armed Forces were represented by Lieutenant Colonel Haji Amilin bin Haji Junit, Commanding Officer Depot Logistics, Royal Brunei Land Force and Commander Mohd Faizal Ezam bin Haji Abas, RBN, Commanding Officer Logistics Royal Brunei Navy.  Both officers had the opportunity to brief and share to the delegates on the End User Perspective of Opera System and ASEAN Defence Minister Meeting Logistics Support Framework.
