BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Wednesday 13 Nov 2013 – Brunei Darussalam hosting of the 17th ASEAN Regional Forum Heads of Defence Universities, Colleges and Institutions Meeting (ARF HDUCIM) came to a close last evening with an official dinner hosted by Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin.
The event took place at Royal Berkshire and was attended by distinguished heads of delegations and participants from the 17th ARF HDUCIM.
At the official dinner, guests were entertained with light music and an array of other entertainments arranged by Royal Brunei Armed Forces Band.
The Meeting came to a close with the handing over ceremony of the Chairmanship of the 18th ARF HDUCIM to Republic of Korea. Apart from discussing and information sharing on the Theme “Cooperation in Research and Academic Curricula on the Contemporary Operating Environment (COE)”, the participants also had the chance to visit various places of cultural and educational interests in the capital, Bandar Seri Begawan. On the sideline, bilateral arrangements were also conducted to further cement relations between member states.
The 18th ARF HDUCIM is expected to be held in Republic of Korea at a date and venue to be announce by the host nation.
