BOLKIAH GARRISON, Wednesday 14 January 2015 – Ministry of Defence held a certificate presentation ceremony held at Wira Seni Concert Hall, RBAF Band Building for civilian officers and staff who have completed their service as of 1 October 2013 until 30 September 2014.
The ceremony began with the mass recital of Surah Al-Fatihah and was followed by a speech by Chairman of the event, Awang Nor Aidil bin Haji Abu Bakar, Acting Director of Administration and Manpower, Ministry of Defence.
The event continued with speech and the presentation of Service Certificates by Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat, Deputy Minister of Defence as the Guest of Honour.
The ceremony was highlighted with religious talk presented by Ustaz Dr Haji Adanan bin Haji Besar from Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College (KUPUSB) and zikir presentation by Religious Department,

The ceremony saw 14 civilian retirees comprising 13 male and 1 female. The ceremony continued with the presentation of certificates and souvenirs to four recipients Ministry of Defence Employee Awards consisting of officers and staff of Division II, III, IV and V.
Present during the ceremony were members of Defence Executives Committee, Directors, Officers and staff of Ministry of Defence.
Among the aim of the ceremony is to reminiscence on the deeds and to express appreciation to all the retired officers and staff of the Ministry of Defence for their contributions throughout their service at the Ministry. It is also intended to maintain friendship and family relationships between officers and staff who are still serving and retired.
