SINGAPORE, Friday, 4 October 2019 – 11th Brunei Darussalam – Republic of Singapore Defence Scholars Development Programme (BSDSDP) ended today in a Closing Ceremony held at the Officers’ Mess, Singapore Armed Forces Training Institute – Military Institute, Republic of Singapore.

The ceremony was graced by Guest of Honour, Brigadier General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Shahril Anwar bin Haji Ma’awiah, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Brunei Darussalam. He was accompanied by Mr. Joseph Leong, Permanent Secretary (Defence Development), Ministry of Defence, Republic of Singapore as host of the second part of the programme in Singapore.

This year Singapore’s phase of the BSDSDP includes visit to Multi Range Complex (MMRC), Jurong Town Corporation (JTC) LAUNCHPAD and Singapore Bicentennial Exhibition as well as a dialogue session with Mr. Joseph Leong, Permanent Secretary (Defence Development). 

Since its introduction in 2007, the BSDSDP has served as an important platform not only for personal and professional development of the scholars but also in contributing to the enhancement of bilateral defence relations of both countries.

BRUNEI DARUSSALAM – REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE DEFENCE SCHOLARS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME KE-11 BERAKHIR DI REPUBLIK SINGAPURA

Brunei Darussalam – Republic of Singapore Defence Scholars Development Programme (BSDSDP) ke-11 berakhir hari ini dengan Majlis Penutup yang berlangsung di Mes Pegawai,
Singapore Armed Forces Training Institute – Military Institute, Republik Singapura.

Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat ialah Brigadier Jeneral (B) Dato Seri Pahlawan Shahril Anwar bin Haji Ma’awiah, Setiausaha Tetap, Kementerian Pertahanan, Negara Brunei Darussalam. Beliau diiringi oleh Tuan Joseph Leong, Setiausaha Tetap (Pembangunan Pertahanan), Kementerian Pertahanan, Republik Singapura sebagai hos bagi fasa di Singapura.

BSDSDP ialah lawatan
ke Multi Range Complex (MMRC), Jurong Town Corporation (JTC) LAUNCHPAD dan
Singapore Bicentennial Exhibition beserta sesi dialog bersama Tuan Mr. Joseph Leong, Setiausaha Tetap (Pembangunan Pertahanan). 

Semenjak program ini diperkenalkan pada tahun 2007,
BSDSDP telah berfungsi sebagai landasan penting bukan sahaja bagi perkembangan individu dan profesional para penerima biasiswa bahkan juga dalam menyumbang kepada peningkatan hubungan pertahanan dua hala kedua negara.
