Bandar Seri Begawan, Friday, 29 October 2021 – Two RBAirF officers have completed the Potential Engineering Officer Training Course 2021 in a closing ceremony which was held virtually today.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Major (U) Hajah Noraisah binti Haji Abdul Fatra, Squadron Commander 75 Squadron, No. 7 Wing, RBAirF. Also present were the Officer in Charge of Technical Training and instructors.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by a speech by a course participant. The ceremony then proceeded with a speech by the Guest of Honour and followed by the official closing of the course.
The aim of this course was to introduce the participating officers on the role and responsibilities of an Engineering Officer in the Royal Brunei Air Force. Apart from that, this course also aims to prepare the participants for their upcoming Engineering Officer Fundamental Training in the United Kingdom.
Despite the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions in place, the training group managed to conduct the classes by using an online virtual learning method. Throughout this course, the participants were taught various aspects of aircraft engineering including aircraft control systems as well as aircraft airframe. In addition to that, the course participants were also introduced to the management of an engineering squadron and the use of various engineering documents as reference for daily engineering routines and deployment.
At the end of the course, the participants' understanding on aircraft engineering were tested through an online table top exercise. In this exercise, the participants were prompted with various potential engineering issues/injects during an offshore deployment and were expected to make decisions based on their knowledge from the lessons they learned throughout the course. In addition, the participants were also expected to present their calculations to the instructors as proof to justify their decision making.
KURSUS LATIHAN BAKAL PEGAWAI KEJURUTERAAN

Bandar Seri Begawan, Jumaat, 29 Oktober 2021 – Seramai dua pegawai TUDB telah menamatkan Kursus Latihan Bakal Pegawai Kejuruteraan 2021 pada hari ini di Majlis Penutup Kursus yang telah diadakan secara maya.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Mejar (U) Hajah Noraisah binti Haji Abdul Fatra, Pegawai Memerintah Skuadron 75, Cawangan No 7, TUDB. Turut hadir ialah Pegawai Latihan Teknikal dan jurulatih-jurulatih kursus.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah diikuti dengan ucapan dari peserta kursus dan diikuti dengan ucapan daripada Tetamu Kehormat majlis serta perasmian penutupan kursus.
Tujuan kursus ini diadakan ialah untuk memperkenalkan kepada pegawai-pegawai yang mengikuti kursus tentang tugas dan tanggungjawab seorang Pegawai Kejuruteraan. Selain daripada itu, kursus ini juga adalah sebagai persiapan pegawai-pegawai berkenaan bagi mengikuti latihan
Engineering Officer Fundamental di United Kingdom yang akan mereka hadiri pada masa yang terdekat.
Kursus ini dijalankan dengan jayanya walaupun Negara Brunei Darussalam sedang mengalami gelombang kedua wabak COVID-19 yang mana kesemua kelas telah diadakan secara maya. Sepanjang kursus dan latihan ini dijalankan, peserta kursus diajarkan tentang pelbagai aspek kejuruteraan pesawat yang ada di TUDB seperti Sistem Kawalan Pesawat, Asas Rangka Pesawat dan lain-lain. Selain itu, peserta-peserta kursus juga telah didedahkan kepada tatacara mengurus skuadron kejuruteraan dan juga dokumen-dokumen penting yang digunakan sebagai rujukan rutin dalam melaksanakan tugas-tugas penyelenggaraan pesawat di TUDB.

Table Top Exercise dimana mereka memainkan peranan sebagai Pegawai Kejuruteraan Misi. Semasa latihan ini, peserta-peserta telah diuji dalam kemahiran untuk membuat keputusan-keputusan penting yang berkaitan tentang aspek teknikal serta pentadbiran di dalam misi berkenaan. Penuntut juga telah diuji di dalam membuat membuat kiraan teknikal berdasarkan pengetahuan yang telah diajarkan sepanjang kursus ini.
