HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS PRINCE CAPTAIN ‘ABDUL MATEEN GRADUATES FROM ELEMENTARY FLYING TRAINING (EFT) COURSE

ROYAL AIR FORCE CRANWELL, UNITED KINGDOM - Friday 28 April 2017 - His Royal Highness Prince Captain 'Abdul Mateen ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah was awarded a Certificate of Completion at a graduation ceremony held at the Daedalus Officers’ Mess, Royal Air Force (RAF) Cranwell, United Kingdom, after successfully concluding his Elementary Flying Training (EFT) Course No. Two Hundred (200).  

Upon arrival, His Royal Highness Prince Captain ‘Abdul Mateen was welcomed by Air Commodore Peter Squires, Commandant RAF College Cranwell. His Royal Highness Prince Captain ‘Abdul Mateen had undergone the course for a period of seven months at the 57 Squadron RAF Cranwell. A total of twelve trainees from the Royal Saudi Air Force, Kuwaiti Air Force and British Royal Air Force were also involved in the course. His Royal Highness Prince Captain ‘Abdul Mateen was awarded the certificate by Group Captain Jez Milne, Commandant 3 Flying Training School (FTS). 

Present at the Graduation Ceremony were His Royal Highness Prince Haji 'Abdul ‘Azim ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah and Her Royal Highness Princess 'Azemah Ni'matul Bolkiah binti His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah. Also present were Executive Officers of the Royal Air Force Cranwell and Royal Air Force Shawbury and officers from the Brunei Darussalam High Commission in the United Kingdom.

The Graduation Ceremony concluded with a visit to the 57 Squadron, in which the Officer Commanding 57 Squadron, Squadron Leader Mike Waring showcased a video on the course trainees’ journey and a static display of the Fixed Wing Tutor Grob 115 aircraft.  

His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen will join the Single Engine Rotary Wing Training at the RAF Shawbury in preparation to qualify as a helicopter pilot.





YANG TERAMAT MULIA PADUKA SERI DULI KAPTEN PENGIRAN MUDA ‘ABDUL MATEEN DIANUGERAHKAN SIJIL TAMAT LATIHAN KURSUS PELATIH JURUTERBANG ASAS

ROYAL AIR FORCE CRANWELL, UNITED KINGDOM, Jumaat, 28 April 2017 - Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Duli Kapten Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Mateen ibni Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah telah dianugerahkan Sijil Tamat Latihan dalam satu Majlis Penganugerahan yang telah diadakan Daedalus Officers’ Mess, Royal Air Force (RAF) Cranwell setelah berjaya menjalani Kursus Pelatih Juruterbang Asas – Elementary Flying Training (EFT) Course No. 200.

Keberangkatan Yang Teramat Mulia telah dijunjung oleh Air Commodore Peter Squires, Commandant RAF College Cranwell. Yang Teramat Mulia telah menjalani Latihan Pelatih Juruterbang Asas selama tempoh tujuh bulan di 57 Squadron RAF Cranwell. Seramai dua belas pelatih yang terdiri daripada Tentera Udara Diraja Saudi, Tentera Udara Kuwait dan Tentera Udara Diraja British turut menjalani latihan. Sijil Tamat Latihan telah dianugerahkan oleh Group Captain Jez Milne, Commandant 3 Flying Training School (FTS). 

Berangkat hadir pada Majlis Penganugerahan Sijil Tamat Latihan tersebut ialah Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Duli Pengiran Muda Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim ibni Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah dan Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Puteri ‘Azemah Ni’matul Bolkiah binti Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah. Turut dihadiri adalah Pegawai-Pegawai Eksekutif dari Royal Airforce Cranwell dan Royal Airforce Shawbury serta pegawai-pegawai dari Suruhanjaya Tinggi Negara Brunei Darussalam ke United Kingdom.

Majlis Penganugerahan berkenaan diakhiri dengan lawatan ke 57 Squadron, yang mana Squadron Leader Mike Waring, Officer Commanding 57 Squadron telah menyampaikan taklimat mengenai perjalanan pelatih kursus, serta pertunjukan statik pesawat Fixed Wing Tutor Grob 115. 

Yang Teramat Mulia akan menyertai Single Engine Rotary Wing Training di RAF Shawbury sebagai persediaan untuk melayakkan diri sebagai seorang juruterbang helikopter.
