ASEAN DEFENCE SENIOR OFFICIALS’ MEETING WORKING GROUP (ADSOM WG)print

JOHOR BAHRU, MALAYSIA Thursday 22 January 2015 – The ASEAN Defence Senior Officials’ Meeting Working Group (ADSOM WG) convened today at the Pulai Spring Resort, Johor Bahru, Malaysia.


The meeting was chaired by Dr. Jafri bin Abdul Jalil, Undersecretary, Policy and Strategic Planning Division, Ministry of Defence, Malaysia.

PENANJONG, Tuesday 20 January 2015 – His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince, Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, General of Royal Brunei Armed Forces consented to officially open the 11th Brunei International Shooting Skill at Arms Meet (11th BISAM) this morning at Binturan Shooting Range Complex, Penanjong Garrison, Tutong.


Upon  arrival of His Royal Highness was welcome by the Deputy Minister of Defence, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat and the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah.

MISSING RBLF PERSONNEL FOUNDprint

REMPAYOH, Saturday, January 17, 2015 – The two missing personnel of the Third Battalion Royal Brunei Land Forces (3Bn RBLF) Lance Corporal Suffiandi bin Eji and and Private Md Fairin bin Tangkap whom have been separated from the group patrol on January 15, 2015 while patrol in the area was found on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 1205 noon.

SUNGAI AKAR CAMP, Friday 16 January 2015 – The Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah officiated the opening of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Command and Staff Course 5 (RBAF CSC 5).


The course comprises 31 officers, 13 officers from Royal Brunei Armed Forces, 16 military officers from Australia, Bangladesh, The People’s Republic of China, India, two from Republic of Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, two from Oman, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand, United Kingdom and the United States.

BOLKIAH GARRISON, Wednesday 14 January 2015 - Ministry of Defence held a certificate presentation ceremony held at Wira Seni Concert Hall, RBAF Band Building for civilian officers and staff who have completed their service as of 1 October 2013 until 30 September 2014.


The ceremony began with the mass recital of Surah Al-Fatihah and was followed by a speech by Chairman of the event, Awang Nor Aidil bin Haji Abu Bakar, Acting Director of Administration and Manpower, Ministry of Defence.

PASSING OUT PARADE OF THE 152ND INTAKE MALE RECRUITSprint

PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday 9 January 2015 – A total of 136 male recruits of the 152nd intake have concluded their Basic Military Training (BMT) at the Parade Square of the Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces (TI RBAF) in Penanjong Garrison.


The male recruits underwent a 25 weeks long basic military training.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Thursday 8 January 2015 – The Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah received a courtesy call this morning by the Chief of Navy Republic of Singapore Navy, Rear Admiral Lai Chung Han.


The courtesy call was made at the Ministry of Defence in Bolkiah Garrison. Rear Admiral Lai Chung Han is currently in Brunei Darussalam on an introductory visit from 7 to 8 January 2015.

MUARA, Wednesday 7 January 2015 – The Royal Brunei Navy Regiment Sergeant Major (RSM), Warrant Officer 1 (L) Pg Mohd Soffian bin Pg Haji Metussin, hosted a 4-day annual interaction programme of the Warrant Officers and Specialists Exchange Programme between the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) for the year 2014/2015.


The RSN Delegation was headed by the Master Chief of RSN, ME6 Phui Peng Sim.
