RBAF COMMANDER CONDUCTS INTRODUCTORY VISIT TO THE REPUBLIC OF INDIA

NEW DELHI, INDIA Thursday, 8 August 2019 - Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) conducted his introductory visit to the Republic of India from 4 to 8 August 2019. Accompanying the Commander of RBAF was Colonel Haji Huzaimi bin Pehin Datu Harimaupadang Dato Paduka Seri Haji Husin, Head of Doctrine and Joint Warfare Centre. 

The introductory visit began at the Ministry of Defence, New Delhi where the Commander of RBAF inspected the guard of honour comprised of the Indian Armed Forces personnel. The Commander of RBAF proceeded to pay separate courtesy calls to Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa, Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee and Chief of the Air Staff, as well as General Bipin Rawat, Chief of the Army Staff, and Admiral Karambir Singh, Chief of the Naval Staff. In the calls, both sides acknowledged the cordial bilateral defence relationship between the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and the Indian Armed Forces, and discussed on exploring more avenues to further strengthen military cooperation and interactions in the future. 

As part of the programme, the Commander of RBAF and his delegation members visited the Counter-Insurgency and Jungle Warfare School (CIJWS) at Vairengte, where they were hosted by Major General MK Mago, the Commandant CIJWS. The CIJWS is a well-established premier counter-insurgency training institution in the world that focuses on training and research, specialising in unconventional warfare, especially counter-insurgency and guerrilla warfare. 

The Commander of RBAF and delegation also attended an official dinner, which was hosted by the Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee and Chief of the Air Staff, Indian Armed Forces at Akash Officers Mess. 


PEMERINTAH ABDB MENGADAKAN KUNJUNGAN PENGENALAN KE REPUBLIK INDIA

NEW DELHI, INDIA Khamis, 8 Ogos 2019 - Mejar Jeneral Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) telah mengadakan kunjungan pengenalan ke Republik India bermula dari 4 hingga 8 Ogos 2019. Pemerintah ABDB turut diiringi oleh Kolonel Haji Huzaimi bin Pehin Datu Harimaupadang Dato Paduka Seri Haji Husin, Ketua Pusat Doktrin dan Peperangan Bersama.

Kunjungan pengenalan dimulakan dengan kunjungan ke Kementerian Pertahanan, New Delhi di mana Pemerintah ABDB telah memeriksa Kawalan Kehormatan daripada anggota-anggota Angkatan Bersenjata Republik India. Kunjungan diteruskan dengan kunjungan muhibah kepada Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa, Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee and Chief of the Air Staff, serta Jeneral Bipin Rawat, Chief of the Army Staff, dan Admiral Karambir Singh, Chief of the Naval Staff. Semasa kunjungan muhibah, kedua belah pihak mengakui hubungan ketenteraan dua hala yang rapat di antara Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei dan Angkatan Bersenjata Republik India serta membincangkan mengenai peluang kerjasama dan interaksi ketenteraan di antara kedua buah angkatan tentera pada masa akan datang.

Pemerintah ABDB dan rombongan juga mengunjungi Counter-Insurgency and Jungle Warfare School (CIJWS) di Vairengte. Kunjungan tersebut telah dihoskan oleh Mejar Jeneral MK Mago, Komandan CIJWS. CIJWS merupakan sebuah institusi yang memberi tumpuan kepada latihan dan penyelidikan, khususnya dalam peperangan yang tidak konvensional, terutamanya dalam menangani pemberontakan atau counter-insurgency dan peperangan guerilla

Pemerintah ABDB dan rombongan juga telah menghadiri majlis makan malam rasmi yang dihoskan oleh Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee and Chief of the Air Staff, Angkatan Bersenjata Republik India bertempat di Akash Officers Mess
