GOODWILL VISIT BY REPUBLIC OF KOREA NAVY DESTROYER DAE JO YEONG

MUARA, Monday, 13 November 2017 – Republic of Korea Navy (ROKS) destroyer DAE JO YEONG is currently in Brunei Darussalam for a goodwill visit from 10 to 14 November 2017. The ship vessel is commanded by Captain Choi Sung-Hyeok.

The ship arrived an opportune period when the nation is still in the midst of celebrating the 50th Anniversary of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzadin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s Accession to the Throne.

During her stay in Brunei Darussalam, officers and personnel of the ROKS DAE JO YEONG and the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) participated in a Passage Exercise (PASSEX) between ROKS DAE JO YEONG and KDB DARUSSALAM, as well as, various professional exchanges and sport interactions to enhance mutual understanding, interoperability and comradeship between the two navies.

This evening, the Republic of Korea Navy hosted a reception onboard ROKS DAE JO YEONG at the Muara Port. The reception was attended by senior officials representing the Ministry of Defence and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF).

Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, the Commander of the RBAF; Captain (Retired) Dato Paduka Abd Rahman bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, RBN, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence; Service Commanders and the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Finance and Administration) were present at the event.

After seven months of deployment, ROKS destroyer DAE JO YEONG will be making her return to Jinhae, South Korea on 22 November 2017.




LAWATAN MUHIBBAH KAPAL PERANG TENTERA LAUT KOREA, DAE JO YEONG

MUARA, Isnin, 13 November 2017 – Kapal Perang Tentera Laut Korea (TLKS) DAE JO YEONG sedang berada di Negara Brunei Darussalam bagi lawatan muhibbah dari 10 hingga 14 November 2017. Kapal perang Dae Jo Yeong ini diperintah oleh Captain Choi Sung-Hyeok.

Lawatan ini diadakan semasa Negara Brunei Darussalam masih meraikan Sambutan Jubli Emas Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzadin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam Menaiki Takhta.

Semasa berada di Negara Brunei Darussalam, pegawai-pegawai dan anggota DAE JO YEONG dan Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei (TLDB)  terlibat dalam Latihan Passage (PASSEX) di antara ROKS DAE JO YEONG dan KDB DARUSSALAM, termasuk pertukaran profesional dan interaksi kesukanan bagi meningkatkan pemahaman bersama, interoperabiliti dan persahabatan di antara kedua-dua tentera laut.

Pada malam ini, satu majlis resepsi diadakan di atas kapal Tentera Laut Korea Selatan (TLKS) DAE JO YEONG di Pelabuhan Muara. Majlis resepsi itu dihadiri oleh pegawai-pegawai kanan yang mewakili Kementerian Pertahanan dan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB).

Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Mejar Jeneral Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Pemerintah ABDB; Kepten (B) Dato Paduka Abd Rahman bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, TLDB, Setiausaha Tetap di Kementerian Pertahanan; Pemerintah-Pemerintah Angkatan Tentera; Timbalan Setiausaha Tetap (Kewangan dan Pentadbiran) hadir di majlis tersebut.

Setelah tujuh bulan pelayaran, Kapal Perang TLKS DAE JO YEONG dijangka balik ke Jinhae, Korea Selatan pada 22 November 2017.
