BOLKIAH GARRISON, Monday 11 April 2016 – Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) received a courtesy call from Admiral Scott H. Swift, Commander of the US Pacific Fleet
Also present during the call was His Excellency Craig Boyd Allen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Brunei Darussalam.
During the call, both sides focused on the warm bilateral defence relationship between Brunei Darussalam and the United States of America, as well as the challenges faced by both countries regionally.
RBAF Commander also expressed his gratitude for the constant support given by the United States of America to the RBAF, especially during the ADMM-Plus Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief and Military Medicine Exercise held in Brunei Darussalam in 2013, as well as the upcoming ADMM-Plus Maritime Security and Counter Terrorism Exercise that is being co-hosted by Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore in May 2016. Future initiatives to further strengthen the professional relationship between the two armed forces and countries in general were also discussed.
