BERAKAS GARRISON, Thursday 30 January 2014 - In an atmosphere of great nostalgia and recollection, officers and personnel of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) today gathered at the Berakas Camp to witness a significant moment in RBAF history in conjunction with the handing over ceremony for the Commander of RBAF place of duty.
The ceremony took place between the outgoing Commander of RBAF, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin who is handing over duty to the new Commander of RBAF, Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah.
On arrival at the parade square, the Commander of RBAF, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin received the Honourary Salute and later inspected the Guard of Honour which comprised personnel from various RBAF units that includes Royal Brunei Land Force, Royal Brunei Navy, Royal Brunei Air Force, Training Institute RBAF and Women Military Personnel. The parade was commanded by Lt Col Zulkarnain bin Haji Abd Wahab.
Following the inspection, the event proceeded with the slow and fast march past before returning to position. After the march past, the Commander RBAF, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin conveyed his final speech as the 8th Commander of RBAF.
After the speech, the day's event proceeded with the Signing of the Handing over Certificate marking the official handing over of the Commander of RBAF place of duty. A thanksgiving prayer was then read to bless the ceremony.
Marking the new duty placement, the new Commander of RBAF, Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah received the Honourary Salute and later proceeded to inspect the Guard of Honour. This was then followed by the inaugural speech of the new leader of RBAF, as the 9th Commander of RBAF.
Prior to leaving the ceremony, the preceding Commander of RBAF, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin was raised onto the march past vehicle to take his final parade as outgoing Commander of RBAF. The procession ceremony saw officers and personnel in convoy, representative of all the military services in attendance.
PEMERINTAH ABDB MENYERAHKAN TUGAS DAN MENGALU-ALUKAN PEMERINTAH BARU
BERAKAS GARISON, Khamis 31 Januari 2014 - Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) hari ini menyaksikan satu detik penting dalam sejarah ABDB bersempena dengan Upacara Majlis Serah Terima Tugas Jawatan Pemerintah ABDB. Majlis berlangsung antara Pemerintah ABDB yang bersara, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, yang menyerahkan tugas kepada Pemerintah ABDB yang baru, Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Mejar Jeneral Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah.
Sebaik tiba di padang kawad, Pemerintah ABDB, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin menerima Tabik Kehormat dan seterusnya memeriksa Perbarisan Kawalan Kehormatan yang terdiri daripada Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei, Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei, Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei, dan Askar Wanita di bawah perintah Ketua Perbarisan, Lt Kol Zulkarnain bin Haji Abd Wahab
Selepas pemeriksaan perbarisan, acara disusuli dengan perbarisan berjalan lalu perlahan dan cepat dan seterusnya perbarisan mara menghadap. Selepas itu, Pemerintah ABDB, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin menyampaikan ucapan terakhir beliau selaku Pemerintah ABDB yang ke-8.
Acara diteruskan dengan Upacara menandatangani Sijil Serah Terima Tugas Jawatan Pemerintah ABDB, menandakan secara rasmi upacara serah terima tugas. Doa selamat dibacakan bagi memberkati upacara tersebut.
Bagi menandakan penerimaan jawatan, Pemerintah ABDB yang baru, Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah menerima Tabik Hormat dan memeriksa Perbarisan Kawalan Kehormatan.
Seterusnya, pemimpin baru ABDB menyampaikan ucapan perdana beliau sebagai Pemerintah ABDB yang ke-9.
Diakhir majlis, mantan Pemerintah ABDB, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin diarak keluar di atas satu kenderaan. Upacara ini diiringi oleh pegawai-pegawai dan anggota-anggota ABDB, yang dikumpulkan dari kesemua unit-unit tentera yang hadir.
