RBN COMMANDER FAREWELL VISIT TO THE PHILIPPINE NAVY

1MAKATI, PHILIPPINES, Monday 27 Jan 2014 – The Philippine Navy (PN) received a farewell visit by First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Halim bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) prior to his retirement.  

During the visit, the First Admiral visited Philippine Navy Headquarters and Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.  First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Halim made courtesy calls to Vice Admiral Jose Luis Alano, the Flag Officer-In-Command Philippine Navy; Lieutenant General Emmanuel Bautista, Chief of Staff Armed Forces of the Philippines and Voltaire Tovera Gazmin, Secretary of National Defence.


The RBN Commander attended an official dinner hosted by Vice Admiral Jose Luis Alano, Flag Officer-In-Command, Philippine Navy. In his speech, First Admiral Dato Halim took the opportunity to highlight the outstanding relationship that both the Royal Brunei Navy and the Philippine Navy have forged throughout the years and conveyed his confidece that both navies will endeavour together to reach their common goals.

First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abd Halim bin Haji Mohd Hanifah was in the Philippines from the 27 January 2014 until 29 January 2014.
