THE COMMANDER OF RBAF PAYS FAREWELL VISIT TO DEFENCE ACADEMY

 – The Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin paid a farewell visit to Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces at Sg Akar Camp.

Upon his arrival, the Commander of RBAF was received by Colonel Haji Abdul Hadi bin Haji Saim, the Commandant of Defence Academy. The Commander received the honourary salute and inspected the parade led by Major (U) Mohd Khairul bin Pehin Dato Indera Setia Dato Paduka Seri Haji Sulaiman, which comprised officer cadets, instructors and permanent staff from the Defence Academy.

This was then followed by a tree-planting ceremony within the compounds of Officer Cadet School (OCS) as a token of appreciation and acknowledgement for the Commander of RBAF’s valuable contributions to Defence Academy.

Mass Asar prayers were conducted at the OCS Surau and a special doa was recited to give blessings to the Commander of the RBAF as he leaves the organisation to embark in bigger pursuits in the future.

The farewell visit then continued with hi-tea at the OCS dining hall where the Commander of RBAF delivered a speech and received commemorative mementos from the Commandant of Defence Academy and representatives from the Command and Staff College, the Leadership and Management Centre and the Officer Cadet School. 

In his speech, the Commander emphasised on the developments Defence Academy has gone through since its inception in 2008 and thanked all the officers, instructors and loan service personnel who have tirelessly contributed to the success the Defence Academy has achieved so far. The farewell visit concluded with the closing doa and the signing of parchment.
