ROYAL BRUNEI AIR FORCE CN235 BRINGS HOME 10 WOUNDED BRUNEIANS FROM SABAH
The
Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) CN235 transported home ten of the
critically injured Bruneians yesterday who were involved in the tragic
road accident on 20 December at the Ranau-Tamparuli Road near Kampung
Kaporingan in Tuaran, Sabah.
A
total of eight RBAirF crews, comprising three pilots, one liaison
officer and four loadmasters were involved in the relief effort today.
The relief efforts were expedited in response to the titah of His
Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam where following
the incident, His Majesty commanded the relevant Ministries that
includes the Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and
Trade, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, and
other Ministries as well as the relevant authorities in His Majesty's
Government to execute their roles in providing their full assistance to
the victims.
In
line with this command, a special mission comprising Yang Berhormat
Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin
Haji Ibrahim, the Minister of Finance Two (II) in the Prime Minister's
Office, and Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Laila Diraja Dato
Seri Setia Awang Haji Hazair bin Haji Abdullah, the Minister of Culture,
Youth and Sports who is currently also the acting Minister of Health as
well as the Permanent Secretaries from the Ministry of Health and
Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Commander of the Royal Brunei
Armed Forces (RBAF), Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan
bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin
conducted an initial flight to Sabah, Malaysia to make all the necessary
arrangements.
