RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Friday, 10 October 2025 – Private (U) Christopher Adewin bin Yahya of 31 Squadron, No. 3 Wing Operational Group, Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) embraced Islam in a heartfelt ceremony held at Surau Al-Barakah, Rimba Air Force Base. The event also honoured three other personnel from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) who have recently embraced the Islamic faith.
Gracing the ceremony as the Guest of Honour was Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the RBAF. Also in attendance were the Service Commanders, Senior Military Officers, the Director of the Islamic Da'wah Centre, Ministry of Religious Affairs, officers from the RBAF and the Da'wah Centre, as well as the families of the newly converted personnel.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Mu'minun by 55541 Private (U) Masrur Fu'ad bin Haji Asmat from No. 5 Wing, RBAirF. This was followed by the declaration of the Dua Kalimah Syahadah by Private (U) Christopher Adewin bin Yahya, led by Yang Mulia Asrul Nizam bin Haji Ahmad, an officer from the Islamic Da'wah Centre, Brunei-Muara District. Upon his conversion, Private (U) Christopher Adewin adopted the Islamic name
Muhammad Aiman Al–Amin @ Christopher Adewin bin Yahya.
The ceremony proceeded with the recitation of
Doa Selamat, followed by
Takbir,
Dikir Marhaban, and the symbolic sprinkling of
bunga rampai, adding a spiritual and cultural touch to the event.
As a gesture of appreciation, the Commander of RBAF presented commemorative gifts to Private (U) Christopher Adewin bin Yahya, as well as to other newly converted personnel. Those honoured included Lieutenant Junior Grade Afifah Syamimi binti Yanam (Royal Brunei Navy), Private Umar bin Muhammad Kamis (RBN), and Private (U) Hafiy Enrique bin Hamran (RBAirF).
The event concluded with the recitation of the
Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam, followed by the congregational Asar prayer and a group photo session to commemorate the occasion.

MAJLIS PENGISLAMAN ANGGOTA TENTERA UDARA DIRAJA BRUNEI
PANGKALAN TENTERA UDARA RIMBA, Juma'at, 10 Oktober 2025 – Majlis Pengislaman bagi Soldadu (U) Christopher Adewin bin Yahya dari 31 Skuadron, Cawangan No. 3 Kumpulan Gerakan, Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) telah berlangsung di Surau Al-Barakah, Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba. Majlis tersebut turut meraikan tiga lagi anggota Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) yang baru-baru ini memeluk agama Islam.
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat ialah Yang Mulia Mejar Jeneral Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Pemerintah ABDB. Turut hadir ialah ahli-ahli jawatankuasa eksekutif ABDB, Pengarah-pengarah, Komandan-komandan, Pegawai-pegawai kanan, Pengarah Pusat Da'wah Islamiah, Kementerian Hal Ehwal Ugama, pegawai-pegawai ABDB serta Pusat Da'wah Islamiah dan ahli keluarga anggota-anggota yang diraikan.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Mu'minun oleh 55541 Soldadu (U) Masrur Fu'ad bin Haji Asmat dari Cawangan No. 5, Kumpulan Bantu TUDB, diikuti dengan lafaz Dua Kalimah Syahadah oleh Soldadu (U) Christopher Adewin bin Yahya yang dipimpin oleh Yang Mulia Asrul Nizam bin Haji Ahmad, Pegawai dari Pusat Da'wah Daerah Brunei-Muara, Kementerian Hal Ehwal Ugama. Setelah memeluk Islam, beliau telah memilih nama Islam
Muhammad Aiman Al–Amin @ Christopher Adewin bin Yahya.
Majlis diteruskan dengan bacaan
Doa Selamat, diserikan dengan laungan
Takbir,
Dikir Marhaban, serta taburan
bunga rampai sebagai simbolik penyucian dan kesyukuran.
Sebagai tanda penghargaan, Pemerintah ABDB telah menyampaikan cenderahati kepada Soldadu (U) Christopher Adewin bin Yahya serta anggota-anggota lain yang baru memeluk agama Islam. Antara yang turut diraikan ialah Leftenan Muda Afifah Syamimi binti Yanam (TLDB), Laskar Umar bin Muhammad Kamis (TLDB), dan Soldadu (U) Hafiy Enrique bin Hamran (TUDB).
Majlis diakhiri dengan bacaan
Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam, diikuti dengan Sembahyang Fardhu Asar berjemaah dan sesi bergambar ramai sebagai kenangan manis acara tersebut.
