One side wasn’t true at all, and the other was partly true, so I chose the side that was partly true which led to my score. But I do admit to having a healthy self-esteem, and self-image. Other people can’t get me down.
But the result seems to just be more recklessness and irresponsible behavior, because the consequences are lessened.
It reminds me of some writing about in ancient Rome, people would gorge themselves on feasts, pause to throw up the food, and keep on feasting. Such behavior seems gross, but when it becomes the new social norm, nobody cares or notices. That’s sort of what has happened to our society. It is only shocking anymore to those from very “sheltered” places.
Yup. That’s what I’m saying. We’re heading towards something like a Brave New World-like scenario with the advance of technology and human instinct. But unlike that story, there are many different elements at play, maybe the most important the proliferation of game, and female hypergamy. Competing strategies that keep things in balance. I think we’re seeing the beginning of what the new balance may look like, but obviously there’s a long way to go and a lot of people that will influence social norms along the way.
Unfortunate Rake, many cads don’t generate offspring anymore than dads do. In fact dads generate more. Many cads use condoms or the women they mate with use birth control or in any case they are not getting very many women pregnant.

But when I’m actually with a friend or in a social situation, I usually ‘fade out’ into my own thoughts, especially if the person talking to me is boring. Several of my friends get easily exhausted from being around many people at a time (like in a mall) but have no problems talking to a friend forever. I think it’s interesting talking to someone else who’s an introvert. Most of the time, people seem to think I’m either shy or worse yet, arrogant/stuck up.”
I get the shy/rude thing a lot as well.
