I don’t like people who take liberties with me right away. I have a sense if humor, but a nickname like Dr. Spock would hurt my feelings. I’m not an alien, but a human being. Just because you wear your heart on your sleeve, don’t expect that she will as well. Dint ascribe your feelings to her behavior. She is obviously not you. I suspect she genuinely finds you funny and a great conversationalist and good company, bur nothing more. I had a friend like you years ago. I finally had to give up because he saw every chance with me as a chance to win me over. After 14 years of distancing/renewing the friendship, I gave him the chance to find someone who could love him the way he loved me. I think you should move on.
