People running away from communicating with their partners happen in all relationships, not only casual ones. It has nothing to do with how involved they are, married, dating or just friends so the idea of being obligated or not is just foreign to me.
At the end of day, the lesson is this: keep those sexual delicacies for some who care and possibly love you, and who have demonstrated such attachment. It’s not even a question of her finding out if that douche bag wants to be in a LTR with her, obviously that guy doesn’t even care enough to be called a friend with benefits. He is no friend at all.
