Rimba Air Base, Thursday, 18 February 2021 – Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Forces (RBAirF) received Courtesy call from Commodore Richard Caton, the Australian Defence Adviser in Republic of Singapore accredited to Brunei Darussalam earlier today. Also, in attendance was the Chief of Staff of RBAirF, Lieutenant Colonel Dan Hauser and Squadron Leader Matthew Xerri.

During the call, the Australian Defence Adviser congratulate the Commander of RBAirF on his appointment. Both sides agreed that the Australian Defence Force and RBAF have shown positive development in defence diplomacy and active interactions in both multilateral and bilateral relationship. Both armed forces are looking forward in engaging and exploring on the existing platform in the future.

Commodore Richard Caton was appointed as the Australian Defence Adviser in Republic of Singapore accredited to Brunei Darussalam in December 2018. As Australia opening up its Defence Adviser office in Brunei in 2019, Lieutenant Colonel Dan Hauser was appointed as the Australian Defence Adviser to Brunei Darussalam as Commodore Richard Caton remained his post as the Australian Defence Adviser in Republic of Singapore.

PEMERINTAH TUDB TERIMA KUNJUNGAN HORMAT DARIPADA PENASIHAT PERTAHANAN AUSTRALIA DI REPUBLIK SINGAPURA YANG DIAKREDITASIKAN KE NEGARA BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba, Khamis, 18 Februari 2021 – Brigedier Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Pemerintah Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) menerima kunjungan hormat daripada Commodore Richard Caton, Penasihat Pertahanan Australia di Republik Singapura yang diakreditasikan ke Negara Brunei Darussalam. Turut hadir adalah Ketua Staf TUDB, Leftenan Kolonel Dan Hauser dan Squadron Leader Matthew Xerri.

Semasa kunjungan hormat tersebut, Penasihat Pertahanan Australia menyampaikan ucapan tahniah  di atas lantikan Pemerintah TUDB. Kedua belah pihak bersetuju bahawa Australian Defence Force dan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei telah memperlihatkan perkembangan yang positif dalam diplomasi pertahanan yang merangkumi interaksi yang sangat aktif dalam hubungan dua hala dan pebagai hala serta mengukuhkan hubungan dua hala dengan bergiat aktif dalam meneroka pelbagai bidang yang ada di masa yang akan datang.
