Official Visit By Commander In-Chief, Royal Thai Air Force

2-2.jpgRIMBA, Friday, 02 Feb 2007 - His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to award the Royal Brunei Air Force Honorary Pilot Wing to the Commander in Chief, Royal Thai Air Force (RTAirF), Air Chief Marshal Chalit Pukbhasuk in recognition of his contributions to strengthening the bilateral ties between Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) and Royal Thai Air Force (RTAirF). The Honorary Pilot Wing was presented by the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Md Yussof, in a ceremony held at the Rimba Air Force Base this morning.

Upon arrival at the Royal Brunei Air Force Headquarters, Air Chief Marshal Chalit Pukbhasuk received the General Salute and inspected the Guard of Honour. This was followed by the Goodwill Call he paid to the Commander of RBAirF, Brigadier General Dato Paduka Haji Mahmud bin Haji Saidin.

Later in the morning, the Commander in Chief, Royal Thai Air Force also paid a courtesy call on the Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces at the Ministry of Defence in Bolkiah Garrison.

Air Chief Marshal Chalit Pukbhasuk is in Brunei Darussalam for a three-day official visit from the 01st until 03rd Feb 2007.
