Kuala Belait, Friday 9 November 2007 - A conversion ceremony took place at Kampong Sungai Mau multi-purpose hall in Mukim Sawat Ulu Belait this afternoon for a Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Dusun personnel Sergeant Awang Mahali bin Bundan aged 32. He chose his Muslim name as Sgt Awang Mahali bin Abdullah Bundan

Present at the ceremony were the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman and the Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force, Colonel Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Awang Rosli bin Pengiran Haji Chuchu.

The conversion ceremony was conducted in the witness of the RBAF Religious Department, the Belait Dakwah Unit and the Belait Sinar Islam Association (PSI).
